iVVChewy9141VVi
Well finally got my CPU and GPU getting ready for the 20(F)18 build. Build Listed Below Fractal Design Core 500 Intel i7 8700K Asus Z370-I Strix Corsair Vengeance 8GBx2 (Will upgrade down the road to 32 GB) Asus GTX 1070 Strix Samsung 960 Evo M.2 500GB for OS Corsair SF450 Currently i might do my games on a 12 TB HDD by seagate (Barracuda pro) This will help with storage and gaming The Core 500 is a tiny Mini ITX box which has a lot of cooling options. Anyone here not more there user files off there SSD? Also 450 watt is more then enough for a 1080 and 8700K without the OC Edited February 19, 2018 by iVVChewy9141VVi
BitMaster
450w ?? This is gonna run hot as even in standard use it will pull north of 250w, rather 300+. D.Va
I don't really understand what your questions are, if any. Read my DCS 2.5 Optimisation Guide (version 2.5.4): https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3828073
Demon_
Bit  So many $$ involved at the end of these wires. As long as DCS don't use more than ~60% of his CPU... Don't forget, psu degrade in power-output over time (capacitor aging). A drop of ~20% in 5 years, probably less for a high-end unit. iVVChewy9141VVi
There is no need for more the 450 watt. People over estimate i i just built a i7 8700K and 1080ti on 500 watt quality PSU Max power draw based on all the Specs is 330 watts at full usage which gaming does not I know more is better i actually dropped down to a 1070 ti you can use any 8th gen K cpu without OC and a single card setup with 450 watt if you go with a nvidia gpu. Demon_
on 500 watt quality PSU What model? Max power draw based on all the Specs is 330 watts at full usage which gaming does not 8700K and 1080Ti? The Ti alone need 250-280w. The CPU need 100w. The MoBo eat 50-60w, etc. Nvidia themselves recommend a 600w, base on a i7 3.2Ghz (65w). All I want is to inform all of you. You should know what your doing and why. Good luck, nice pc. cichlidfan
PSU failures frequently take out other components. I would much rather spend an extra $100 on a PSU that is bigger/better than necessary, than have to replace other more expensive components. The machine I am typing this on has a 7 year old Corsair AX850 in it (the rest of the components have been upgraded more than once). Currently it is running an 17-3820, 16GB, Zotac GTX1080 Amp Extreme. I will still be using that PSU when I install a new mobo/cpu/memory combo this summer. BitMaster
Learn your lessons ! I just pumped 340w through my 1080Ti alone, and it can take even more noe with the "BalsaFix". cichlidfan has the right attitude, better play safe with the PSU. Over 20 years+, I have seen numerous PSU ruining a whole PC when they blew up, popped caps, melted wires, you name it. A Desktop PSU is s totally different thing, it is NOT ment to be run above 50-60% for longer than a couple hours max, 5 days a week, 8x5, not 24/7/365. The more you stress it, the soone rit will degrade, run hot n inefficient and what not else. YOu wont be able to run any stresstest for an hour that stresses all your components. I bet it will fail due to power demand n supply. The more you go over 50% load, the lesser the quality of your current that flows becomes. Anyway, your parts inside. I dont bundle a 1200€ card with a 50€ PSU. Never ever.
