This is a GREAT addition and have some of these aircraft in my missions.

I get the aircraft to land in Open Alpha . . but after landing they disappear on the runway, so I can't get them to taxi to parking.

Am I doing something wrong??

Please keep up the good work!!!

No, they are too big for smaller airports. They would likely crash with some object during taxi. Letting them despawn is the default DCS behaviour in these cases.

Was using a 747 that disappeared after landing . . changed to a 737 and it parked itself correctly.

This is a GREAT mod!

Are these civilian Aircraft still being actively worked on? I would like to suggest that the winglets be removed from the 747. This is essentially a 747-200 which never had winglets. Also, it could be used as Air Force One which never had winglets. It will also be a great addition to the Iranian inventory which got their airframes prior to the Winglet revolution. The other thing I would like to see is refined animations. Flaps, Elevators, Rudders, Spoilers, Nose wheel steering, Fan Blades, and Thrust reversers.

What you guys have done is a great start, and a sorely needed addition to the Ai pool. Please don't take my request as anything more than constructive criticism. -Woog

Yes, and thank you. We still working on. There's an update coming soon with Cessna flyable (just for fun).

The planes stands just for fictive AI-Traffic and it's not 100% real life models, the 757 and the 737 also. Better than 'No civil aircraft' - so to say :-)

Maybe you guys can get in touch with Henry Tomkiewicz http://htai-models.com/downloads.html and get some of his models into DCS? He has a very large collection of models that he has modeled based on the fact that they are operated in both the civilian market and for military use. He also has a complete Cessna Singles line. There are a couple caveats to his models: being optimized for low resource/high FPS, they have basic animations only, and Opaque Cockpit glass. I would love to see his King Air Series, the Beech 1900D, some Lear Jets, Cessna 150 and 170 series, and most of all the venerable C-141B Starlifter needs to be a DCS thing.

Hopefully ED updates their AI traffic and Ground Routes system Soon. In theory Civilian/Heavy traffic logic should be more simple than a dog fighting aggressive Fighter Aircraft. One would think that standard SIDS/STARS routes and CHARTS could be used to implement a standard template for both Single player and Multi-player mission sets in the game. The Random traffic generator is helpful, but without the ED's refinement of Ground routes, will never be viable for a realistic implementation of civilian traffic. Maybe Pilot edge will have some influence with ED?

CAM Update to v. 0.74

Hello everybody,

here's an update to version Beta Civil_Aircraft_Mod_V0.77 (7zip), April 2018.

01.jpg

The mod is created by cdpkobra (known for his famous VSN-Mods), Skins by SethOs and me.

This AI mod is freeware. All 3D models are from cadnav.com and are free to use. Since changing the directory for mods in DCS, this mod isn't JSGME-ready, so you have to install it manually. The aircraft is placeable like other aircrafts as well and for use as AI or static object except the Cessna. Anyway there's a script out there for random traffic (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=194247).

Video:

Video:

How to install the mod:

1. Extract the ZIP File (7-zip.org, WinRAR, WinZIP etc)

2. inside the "Civil Aircraft Mod V0.77"-Folder is the Mod himself called "Civil Aircraft Mod" folder. Copy/paste (or even move) this whole folder ("Civil Aircraft Mod") into

C:\ User \ Username \ Saved Games \ DCS.openbeta (or similar) \ Mods \ aircraft

(If the folder "Mods\aircraft" does not exist, create them)

After all you will find the B-747, B-737, B-727, B-757, A-380 and Cessna 210N in your Aircraft list in Mission Editor. If you want to fly the Cessna, there is a .cmd-file in CAM-Folder. Double click the '02 Cessna_Flyable.cmd' that makes the 210N flyable.

Report any bugs and issues here in this thread.

Update 0.77; April 2018:

- Wingspan reduced for B-747 and A-30 in .lua-file (collision issue on ground)

Download via Dropbox:

Direct Download via FTP:

Civil_Aircraft_Mod_V0.77.7z

Update: May, 2018:

for all newer Mods always visit this site here:

https://cam.em-key.de/

Known issues:

- B747 or A380 disapear after landing if airport has no large parkings

- CAM sometimes refuses to land (like other AI-Aircrafts in DCS)

No guarantee for this Mod.

have fun :pilotfly:

Thanks alot for this mod. Brings me back to the days of Jane's Dos Sims (ATF, USNF, Nato Fighters, FA).

They had alot of 'Save the VIP and escort them to safety' missions.

Does this mod have the IL-96? If so, when the F-14 comes out we can recreate the 'Eviction' Mission from 1993s US Navy Fighters.

Someone can splice the FMVs from the game with DCS footage lol.

Very nice mod! Thank you guys!

I have a problem with C210N. This plane is perfectly flyable in offline, but in multiplayer the controls are not working. We want to use for fun flight. :) Any solution?

And one more question, have you plan to make the A319/320/321? Because these're very popular types in Europe and it would be great. ;)

Two tails, two engines!

You have in the folder Civil Aircraft Mod the file 02 Cessna_Flyable, double-click and start game, now it should be usable.

Thank you.. works great.
