OnlyforDCS
One of the best aircraft/squadron documentaries I've ever seen. BuzzU
Excellent! I've seen it before but enjoyed watching it again. I hope Ed gets the plane right for us. Buzz
OnlyforDCS
It deals with the Jug in the last phase of the war, and only barely touches on the fact that it was initially used as an air superiority fighter. Im sure that ED will get the plane right. Im not so sure people will take to it. A lot of US airmen hated it, hated it with a passion, a lot of airmen also loved it. It was a very divisive aircraft. At altitude it will definitely be a force to be reckoned with. Also its 8x 50 cal. machine guns were considered hugely powerful. As a high altitude interceptor (or bomber escort) aircraft as well as a low altitude ground pounder it truly excelled. We will need proper missions, as well as a new damage model to make the most of this aircraft. BuzzU
I'll be one who loves it. I have no doubts about that. Buzz
Barrett_g
I like the pilot accounts of the radar-guided anti-aircraft-artillery towards the end of the documentary. The buzzing in the headsets is a detail I hope DCS includes!
Rudel_chw
If ever they do produce a P-47 for DCS, I sincerely hope that they could add a ground crew member over the wing when taxying, guiding us with his hand gestures :) ... looking at the documentary it seems like it was standard practice For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
