1080 TO 2080 TI ' HP REVERB

Hi, Im new in the DCS, so sorry if I say something wrong.

I have a 1080 with HP Reverb. Im thinking to upgrade to 2080ti, is about 1200$ investment.

Am I go to have a clear improvement in the reverb? Right now I can read the DDI letter only if I point there.... so if I look to right DDI cannot read left. Do you think with the new card I will be able to read both simultaneously?

Thank you very much for the help

I can read both. But im not sure thats your issue. I use 160-180% steam PD. Also i think i still have the f18 mfd improvment mod installed from the CV1 days so that may be worth it for you.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

I think that what you are describing is the "sweet spot" , which is a limitation of the headset lenses , not the gpu .

Not if i understand you correctly . I read that you are looking at one DDI which is sharp , and that if you move only your eyes to the other , it will be blurry . That sounds like the sweet spot issue , and is common to all headsets . The Reverb i understand has a relatively small sweet spot .

Yep, you want to turn your head and look straight at what you want to focus on.

Leaving head straight, moving eyes to left to look without head, will be out of focus.

That's not your videocard, that's the Reverbs small sweetspot. You have to looks directly at something to take advantage of the increased resolution.
