VPC T50 CM2 cable

What's with the non standard USB cable Virpil uses on their CM2 base. Why not a standard USB cable you can buy almost anywhere. I hope it doesn't ever break because I'd hate to have to wait for them to send a replacement.

my question is: What type of cable do they use? no mention of it anywhere. and by the way How long is that cable ? i am expecting my Virpil Joystick and hope that this will be long enough

The cable is standard USB on one end and a proprietary connector on the other that plugs into the base. As far length, i’m not home to measure but I would say 5 feet maybe 6.

My cat chewed over the cable to all my Virpil gear in a matter a minute.

Filed a ticket with virpil and they shipped me new ones np.

You can also make your own cables if you want. The connector is called "XS9" (be sure to buy the one with 5 pins as it's sometimes called XS9-5). You can get it on ebay or aliexpress
