Looks good.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

Thanks much!

I am getting there.

DCS installed now, Rift installed now.

Got to go in and get my controllers set back up - I exported them prior to doing this so hopefully can get them imported back in ok.

That is next on my list to do.

Edit: Oh crap, I thought I had exported them. They are no where to be found on my backup drive. I must have thought I did and missed it.

Well, guess I will be setting them up from scratch.

Yeah thankfully it is only a couple aircraft I will need to do this for, had not set up any of the others yet due to changing to new stick a bit back.

In another note, so far this system is passing the stress tests just fine I have been throwing at it.

Using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and IntelBurnTest V2.

Stressing both CPU and CPU+Ram.

So far highest Core and Package Temp I am seeing is 70c during the tests.

Will probably start overclocking here soon - my goal will be to get all 8 cores on this 9900k at 5GHz.

can you grab them from your last system backup?

Don't think so - my backup was system image created with free version of Macrium Reflect, don't think I can go in and grab individual files. Also I am sure my joystick id would have changed with new rig, my plans were to export each controller's settings and then just import back in on new rig. Apparently I forgot to export.

I was very careful to copy all files I thought I would need over to the external hard drive, looks like this was the only one I forgot to do.

I will just get it set up from scratch, probably best way anyway.

Thanks,

Finally got all DCS installed along with Voice Attack and Vaicom Pro.

Got the controls set up for my Spit and did a couple of quick Instant Action missions.

Take off from ramp and flying over both the coast and water - flying in VR.

Initial impression - think I am going to be very pleased with this new rig, and have not started on my CPU overclock yet. Certainly performance looking way better than my 4820k on X-79 board did. It was all I could do to maintain 45 fps over the Normandy landscape previously, now I am seeing in the 70's and hitting 90 faster now.

Just couple of quick tests, should be able to do some more indepth over the next several days. And start working on an overclock as well.

Now you've gone and done it, I did not need to see that LOL.

Spent most of the weekend on my overclocking, got it to 5.1 GHz stable on all 8 cores. This new rig has certainly helped my VR performance. Hopefully the talked about VR improvements from ED will happen before too long also to help it be even better.

I will say with the i9 9900k processor, heat is the enemy. Got to have a really good cooling solution to get it up a little beyond 5.1. I could probably do 5.2 but my CPU core temps would jump up way too high, so not worth even trying. A dual rad custom loop would probably get it. 5.1 GHz was the sweet spot for my chip. I am certainly pleased with that.
