Eldur
I've asked ED so many times now for that possibility... I want to put everything that comes though the headphones IRL to my onboard audio with headphones connected and the rest staying on my actual sound card with a nice 5.1 system plugged. Anything else just would not be realistic at all. And if you just take a peek at the dcs.log, you'll notice that DCS indeed checks all the available devices... 2019-06-23 00:49:52.695 INFO SOUND: Using driver: xaudio27 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: Found 8 available audio device(s): 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 0: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{0aef6c9b-2f1e-48a4-829a-c2cff7be57cc}", Name: "Lautsprecher (3- Creative SB X-Fi)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 1: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{03f24946-182a-4a50-bb4c-51fd7a6a09b3}", Name: "EV2436W (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 2: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{10445b85-cdf2-467c-bad2-98b755adc866}", Name: "Kopfhörer (Rift Audio)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 3: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{1d23d1af-cb8a-425f-8c5d-81113c01db87}", Name: "SPDIF-Out (3- Creative SB X-Fi)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 4: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{2dbe3a29-1474-43bd-b546-8c0a19471d67}", Name: "EV2436W (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 5: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{467b8c27-c496-4ef6-987d-e353aed64493}", Name: "Lautsprecher (2- VIA High Definition Audio)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 6: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{d446568d-c318-4535-bd79-d00243ec0c74}", Name: "SPDIF Interface (TX1) (2- VIA High Definition Audio)" 2019-06-23 00:49:52.739 INFO SOUND: 7: ID: "{0.0.0.00000000}.{e5d24e45-c90e-4df1-a1ba-96cd4b53e72e}", Name: "SPDIF Interface (TX0) (2- VIA High Definition Audio)" 2019-06-23 00:49:53.317 INFO SOUND: loaded 1475 sdefs from "sounds\sdef" 2019-06-23 00:49:53.317 INFO SOUNDER: Preloading Sounders from Sounds\Sounders So how far are we actually from it being able to use more than just the Windows default device? Dave317
Now DCS is able to send the radio audio to a separate headset is it now possible for jester audio to be sent to the same?
FoxTwo
Yes, but they have to update the module to fix it. I reported it as a bug.
RedeyeStorm
Just so you know Viacom pro offers the possibility to send different sound to headphones and/or speakers. If you can send Jester I do not know for sure (away from pc).

If you can send Jester I do not know for sure (away from pc). It's built into the game now there's no reason to run viacom pro. Heatblur just has to go back and flag the audio properly for headset/helmet along with the RWR and sidewinder tones. ED has been going back and fixing it on modules I've reported the issue on including the F/A-18C, F-16C and F-15C.

Eldur
Would be great to have this updated since DCS added support for multiple audio devices a while ago, which rocks. All the comms, warnings and the walkman audio should come through the headphone device.
IronMike
We've just implemented it and are testing it internally. If everything goes well it will be in the next update. Does not affect me personally, b/c I use headphones for everything, but it really speaks to the teams commitment, passion, and work.
melchionda
I just bought the F14 and noticed jester was coming through the surround speakers and not my headset. I thought I had something configured wrong... evidently not. I too am looking forward to seeing this fixed.
