OnlyforDCS
The complete F-14A and B Tomcat payload, including AIM-7, AIM-9 and AIM-54 air to air missiles, various dumb and guided air to ground munitions as well as the M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon This is from Cobra himself. Im not sure what exactly constitutes the "complete" payload, but my guess is everything those two airframes carried operationally. Since the F14B is coming first, it's probably safe to assume that we will be getting most of that on EA. Eldur
various dumb and guided air to ground munitions This is extremely precise, so I absolutely know what to expect... Well, we don't even know the exact AIM types... those Sidewinders for example look like Ps. I totally hope those are all-aspect. I have to admit that I don't know all the details, but DCS modules and these forums are a perfect place to learn lots about these assets

I have to admit that I don't know all the details, but DCS modules and these forums are a perfect place to learn lots about these assets The AIM-9M and AIM-7M both went into service in the early 1980's so our F-14B should be able to carry them. The AIM-54C went into service in the mid 1980's and do I believe our F-14B should be able to carry those as well. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"

CheckGear
Will we have both, -A and -C Phoenix? I'm obviously not speaking for Heatblur, but I'd think so. Both were in service by the time the F-14A+ (which later became the B) entered the fleet, so...

turkeydriver
KEEP THOSE AIM-Ps OFF THE NAVY JETS!!!!!! Those would be Iranian only if they ever bought them. AIM-9P is an Air Force and export only weapon. Tirak
My question is to know what A/G weapons he will have. According to Gyrovague: Basically, up to 18 MK-82/81, up to 28 Zuni rockets. The GBUs and MK-20 are basically limited to same as the MK-84 loadout above (i.e. max 4), some combinations even less (e.g. only two GBU-10/24). Here is a table for the dumb bombs and rockets station 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ---------------------------------------- rockets LAU10/A: 2 2 1 2 mk-81 (lo&hi): 2 4 3 3 4 2 mk-82 (lo&hi): 2 4 3 3 4 2 mk-83 (lo): 1 3 1 1 3 1 mk-84 (lo): 1 1 1 1 Basically, up to 18 MK-82/81, up to 28 Zuni rockets. The GBUs and MK-20 are basically limited to same as the MK-84 loadout above (i.e. max 4), some combinations even less (e.g. only two GBU-10/24).I just wonder about the Zuni pod count. Is that 3 of them in the "tunnel" front row next to each other as it's done with the Sparrows? At least we can say that this is quite a decent load BTW, I guess that 2 is 1A and 7 is 8A (those Sidewinder rails), since 2 and 7 most probably are the intake mountings for those drop tanks. At least that's what I get by judging the cockpit indicators right below the HUD

The US Navy never approved or funded the multiple bombs/Phoenix pallet load. Under testing the bombs wouldn't separate. One bomb per pallet for all Navy jets. A maximum load of 4 500lbers or 4 1000 lbers, or possibly 3 2000 lbers. No fantasy loadouts please. The 13 bomb loadout in the 70s was never drop tested or approved. turkeydriver
I would- but I doubt the accuracy of the story beyond PR. The Iranians wouldn't risk an F-14 in an unguided air to mud mission. They will get shot down, and they need the radar alone to keep their airspace clear. We have documented testing where the bomb stays next to the fuselage upon release even if you roll. Those weapons wont separate unless they are released into the airflow away from the fuselage. Kev2go
Nice to see heatblur simulated the old low res tv look to the Lantirn. Along with the image rippling. it's great to see the f14 will have precision strike capability. In EA P.S I can only imagine how bad the nitehawk would have been to this. In pre 2000s Hornets.
