I have posted in thread a few times but every time I visit here. I recall how RAAF have used these sweet rides in training missions as they split blue and red F-18 fighters in mock attacks. Where they have fighters in cover escort protecting the DHC-4 Caribou as an enemy red forces tries to find as a target.

Its been a vehicle of choice for many purposes down under including transport supply runs and emergencies etc

Thats right I posted here:- https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3105560&postcount=149

Would be nice to have this as a historical muched loved RAAF bird and use it in sim.

I hope soon thanks for pics also.

Yes the project is still alive since a few days ago they posted a pic of the control column on their FB Page. Search tailored radials. They are a small team modelling a large aircraft and so it will likely take a long time. Best place to check for updates is on FB.

BTW, the texturing of the cockpit components they have shown on FB are very impressive..........

System Specs: i7 8700k @ 5.0GHz (not delidded), ASRock Extreme4 Z370 MOBO, EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB, 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, Samsung Evo 240GB SSD, Samsung Evo 500GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Noctura NH-D15S Heat Sink, Acer VE278H 27" 1080p Monitor, Ocukus Rift CV1.

Controllers: TrackIR 5, Thrustmaster HOTAS X, Saitek Throttle Quadrant (with DIY removable collective mod), Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals.

Just trying to keep my number of takeoffs and landings equal!

I think they are working on another platform, P3D

Thought I would reignite this thread since discus has posted a few new pics on facebook. Looks like this project is still alive.

And a note:

P3D will come first as far as I can see it because here I can code the subsystems for the electrical / hydraulical system, engine management and crew interactions. I'm on my "home turf" with that in P3D. When we have a functional aircraft and the working logic behind it it is easier to take further steps (DCS, or maybe X-Plane 11).

Did this project die? After flying the old girl in MSFS, I could not see a more fitting cargo plane for our future Vietnam scene.  Hope to reignite this one! It is a blast to fly in VR on MSFS.  Would probably be my go-to cargo aircraft. Below was me flying out of Creech to give a demo of what it would be like in DCS.  All ion VR.

Whoever was going to start this for DCS should seriously team up with the people who mad the one for MSFS and look at bringing it to DCS.  I did an entire thread on why this aircraft would be right at home in DCS world. They way they conducted air to air refuel for other aircraft in Vietnam was insane.

Well the MSFS team came out with that pretty quick, I would be interested to see the wireframe for the model itself. I ended up starting a business which has consumed me, prefer flying on MP these days. When time permits I might get back into it.
