As i promise.

What version Nvidea driver are you using? I've found that I lost SLI with the latest driver so went back to previous version and recovered.

Hi codenanepanzer, thanks for the reply and the upload. You are correct, with your settings there is no cloud flicker. However, that is because you are not really using SLI :)

You use SLI antialiasing (which at least on my system gives zero performance benefit)

You can find that out easily by turning on your SLI indicator

For my 770GTX cards it seems that SLI is something Nvidia forgot to support at all. I was encountering massive stuttering and strange behaviours in all games I am using like DCS, Arma, WorldOfTanks. I have switched to single GPU rendering and now I have a great performance improvement... everywhere.

Note: my future option will be to avoid by any mean a SLI configuration, instead I will go for the most powerfull single GPU available. I am already tired about this SLI saga.

Got my GTX 980 Ti's working in SLI in 1.53 using this guide

SLI green bars positive, cloud flickering still however exists.

*edit: Although admittedly the green bars could be a bit higher , now the seem to be at around 50% so not a perfect utilization of the SLI.

My settings that work in 1.5.3. The key differentiating factors for me between useless and working were using AFR2 in NVI and NVCP in addition to keeping VSYNC off.

Nvidia inspector settings:

NVidia control panel

My in-game graphics settings:

In-game screenshot + SLI bars . FPS ~60-70fps at 4K (UHD)

My version of DCS is 1.5.3 (Steam) , GPU GTX 980 Ti's x2 SLI,

Alas the cloud flickering persists with these settings but hopefully someone finds these useful.

DirtyFret, are you actually getting an increase in FPS when running in SLI? What is your single card vs dual card performance like?

Yes I am, or at least think so. I have no other way to test but the FPS in the corner.

Single card performance in low load enviroment : solid 60fps

Single card performance in high load enviroment: 40-60fps

SLI card performance : over 60 fps consistently.

But as I said I haven't any thorough testing just played the game and occasionally looked at the fps counter. Is there a surefire way to know?

Alternate Frame Rendering will cause Latency and Extreme Juddering regardless of Application and FPS.

That's the Downside of AFR, Google it, AFR Rendering was designed long before VR or Multiple Viewport Rendering was a thing.

For VR, any SLi/XFire Modes would need to be SplitScreen/SplitFrame/Side By Side/Per Eye Rendering, which is globally unsupported by DX9,10 and 11. The only places I've seen SplitFrame is openGL, Mantle and DX12

Just tried 1.5.4 and still no SLI on my GTX 660's. Is ED actually going to address this or should I just give up? Using drivers 368.39. Also noticed more stuttering than usual. Of course using AFR2 turns SLI on, but it's stutter city with it.
