flo57100
Hi everyone ! Problem with the deffered shadings, lightings effects during night times. How do I know it comes from deferred shadings ? I just made the comparison between my 2.5 release NOT UP TO DATE, so I can still activate/deactivate deferred shadings at will, and my up-to-date 2.5.2 Beta, where it is no more possible to deactivate DS. Comparisons were made in same conditions, no mods activated, with the same module ,Eagle Dynamic's KA50, not other 3rd party module. 2.5 Release, no deffered shadings: We can see that the landing light lights the runway in front of us very well, instruments, consoles and labels are very well lit and readable, the autopilot roll, pitch, and heading are on and their buttons are very well lit as well. Now, 2.5.2 Beta, up-to-date, deferred shadings on: The landing light is now useless, instrument consoles and switch lighting doesn't work properly and instruments are barely readable, and our 3 autopilots buttons (that are switched on in the example) are not lit at all And there are many, many, many lighting bugs like those in the KA50 and in other modules as well. And I precise I wrote this thread in a respectful and open-minded manner, no grunge involved here, no need to close this thread and thus a constructive debate :smilewink: Flo Edited July 14, 2018 by flo57100
KEAPS
Hello Flo, Same on Mirage 2000, when you use external lighting, no effect, you're still stuck in complete darkness ... It's a pity we can't fly by night anymore ... We tried to refuel in a night mission but even close to the tanker, we tried with full landing light on, the tanker remains black... Please Dev Team, would you mind fixing this ? Thanks :) Edited July 14, 2018 by KEAPS
131st-Maverick
And if this "great" Dev Team squeeze these comments again... They'd be the most ***** I've ever seen !
Bad_Karma-701
Honestly the Exterior lighting needs to just find a middle ground between old and the new, cuz it looks nice from the outside for the most part currently but completely useless.. Interior Lighting is a whole other kinda F* level. which sucks because night stuff would be so Much fun.... Rift CV1: i-7 8700 RTX 2070 16GB 3200mhz win10. Angus
+1 We can not say that one version or the other is better ... one thing is sure, night lighting still requires some adjustments. As can be seen on the screenshots, on the 2.5.0 with the deffered shading off the cockpits are better lit and the front light illuminates far ahead. The screenshots were taken under the same conditions on the same mission. 2.5.0 with deffered shadow off : F15C: F5E3: AV8B: 2.5.2 beta up to date : F15C ( the gear light is ON ) : F5E3 lights in cockpit are full bright ... AV8B light in cockpit are full bright On the 2.5.2 the graphics are sharper it's certain. but we do not really see what is going on in front of the aircraft despite the landing gear lights. It would be necessary to find a suitable adjustment on the 2.5.2 so that one can obtain the same graphics and the same visibility outside the plane. Especially as with the new modules like the F18, AV8B and F14 night operations become more than interesting. Bringing back the plane on the carrier at night is an adventure !!!! PS: Thinking that the problem came from the graphics settings that I usually use. I tried to push all the options to the maximum. The result is identical.
