**** Updated to Version 2.5X 5 MARCH 2019 ****

Greetings F-18 Air Warriors! I'm proud to announce my F-18C Hornet DDI/MPCD/UFC/HUD Gouge Version 2.5X for the EA module.

The Question: How do I do that on the DDI/UFC?

Well my gouge has the answer for the following tasks:

- Waypoint Entry

- Waypoint Insert

- Waypoint Delete

- Coordinate Entry

- Designate Target Waypoint

- Convert Navigation Waypoint to Target

- Waypoint Elevation Change

- Carrier Night Lighting

- Catapult Launch

- Altimeter Settings

- TACAN Operation

- Active Pause

- COMM1/COMM2 Radio

- Checklists

- AOA Indexer Signals

- Setting Time Over Target (TOT)

- Setting Constant Groundspeed (GSPD) for Target Waypoint

- Display ZULU Time of Day (ZTOD) on DDI/HUD

- Display Six Minute Countdown (CD) timer on DDI/HUD

- Display Elapsed Time (ET) timer on DDI/HUD

- Set ZULU Date

I also included the "DASH-1" DDI Data Tree Extracts for the following:

- Waypoint Data Tree Extract

- GRID RDDI Data Tree Extract

- A/C Data Tree Extract

- HSI Data Tree Extract

CHANGES in v1.06

- reduced kneeboard pages from 3 to 2

- changed format for readability improvement

- added Set ZULU time on IFEI

- added Set BINGO fuel on IFEI

- added COLD START 'cheat"

- expanded CD Timer function to reflect that you can set to less than 59:59 countdown time

CHANGES in v2.5X

- REMOVED - added test mission file for Caucasus Map

- REMOVED - removed Kneeboard pages and Test Mission. Both are being redone and will be updated soon.

- added EW page to HUD.

- added LINK 16 D/L operation.

- added D/L Symbol gouge

- added AWACS BRAA gouge

- updated TACAN operation and added LINK 16 restriction.

- added Air to Air TACAN frequency pairing calculation note by request of RightStuff.

- duplicate page removed and page numeration added on 6 Mar 2019 update.

Watermarks removed in USER FILES download area.

As the F-18C develops, I hope to include more avionics goodness for your button pushing pleasure and in the process you'll learn to be a more effective Warfighter by mastering your systems!

Many of the tasks I've included above are undocumented as of now and may be changed, broken, etc., as future Hornet builds are released.

Kneeboard folder and new test mission now being worked on. I am thinking about a complete reorganization of the gouge as future updates drop by ED.

Knowledge is Power in the fighter world, so start filling your clue bag today!

Comments, requests and feedback is always welcome.

Cheers,

I didn't figure out how to program the countdown timer yesterday, so I thought I must have missed something obvious otherwise how come I can only count from 6:00. I've just tried and found out that I can just use the UFC keypad to enter the time I want. Silly me

Anyway, I like your answer. It's informative and ... interesting :megalol: I guess it makes total sense to me. Thanks again!

I'm afraid I really don't understand what this app does.

Is it like a data transfer cartridge to configure cockpit settings prior to entering the jet?

I think it´s like a quick checklists procedures relating F-18 avionics. More detailed than a pure "checklist", shorter than a manual.
