With the hotfix 4 today i've experienced immediate game crash using F5E, both single and multi.

I5-7600K@4,8Ghz - G Skill TridentZ 16Gb 3200 CL14 - Aorus GTX 1080TI - Samsung 950 PRO 512GB NVMe M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 - Lenovo 24'' 1440p - Hotas Warthog - TrackIR 5

I managed the Su-27 working in Nevada ramp start only for that moment I tried to close the canopy. The plane was aligned to north!

As soon as I apply power to the A10C, it crashes the game. I did a repair/update as I have done waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many times during this “teething process” that has become the story of DCS. First time booting up the game in nearly a month, did the massive update (that the change log seems to imply is a minor one, haha yeah not the case).

 

I’d attach a log, but after the second time I just turned off my PC.

 

Please feel free to try it, shouldn’t be too hard to have someone in an “official” capacity replicate. The DCS love to hate it relationship continues, sadly. Sure hope the official 2.5 is released and the F18C that has been pre purchased ends up being something that can be appreciated by many, many, many of your “hopeful” supporters.

 

Well, back to iRacing to enjoy their new products that work - until your flight simulator is ready for use by the masses.

 

Please DCS, get a handle on this.

When you try to run a quick mission Spitfire crash to desktop.

 

Looks like a display driver crash.

 

try a clean up and repair of DCS

 

it may be worth ensuring your display driveer is up to date also

I am not getting any crashes, but there seems to be something very strange going on, ED are looking into it, hopefully we wont have long to wait.

2.5Ob upd4:Su-27 crash logs with clean saved games

 

In SP game crash usually after I select a Su-27 slot or I acknowledge the briefing.

Su-27 simulation is the longest for ramp cold start, because I can sit in the plane for seconds.

(I experience weird forced to north align for runway and ramp starts across various modules.

Bugs in every mission creation not fixed:

-All Senaki shelter position for Viggen is aligned to revesre thrust.

-191 Position is good for Su-27 AIs to park at Caucasus but not for ramp start. Gelendzhik is the easiest to explore.)

 

Later I plan to delete these attachments becouse of the small quota.

BIGNEWY, could you at least tell us the driver version you are using and I will try that by rolling back.

 

I am on 390.77 and getting crashes.

I flew last night with no issues (other than my own piloting mistakes.)

I did update my GeForce to the latest and the only thing I lost there was my HDMI audio recognition, on my second monitor.

 

I suspect this is a confusion between DCS and nVidia because many people are not having problems while many people are. (Just my guessing.)

 

I thus wait for the hot fix.

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
