Wiggy
Question for the Devs - Just wondering if this is in development at all and perhaps an idea if or when we might see aircraft doing this... ...particularly on the ALGs in Normandy where it was of significance?? cheers, Wiggy

ouky1991
I'm afraid we don't have computers for all that.. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk That depends. If it would be fully simulated, like Physx, then probably no. But simple, togglable effect. Why not? One of the things I'd like to see in future is better dust/water effects when flying close to ground/water. Plus vapour cones on the jet planes. Sniper175
Ya I bet something could be done, as the rotor wing in sim has dust and water effects down low..? I7-8700 @5GHZ, 32GB 3000MHZ RAM, 1080TI, Rift S, ODYSSEY +. SSD DRIVES, WIN10
Wiggy
Would be excellent. Could also be expanded on so would cause wear or carburettor failure or just reduced power if you don’t use the air filter in such conditions. They had massive problems with the dust initially on those ALGs until the filters were sorted.
.Tigre.
I agree, the dust, etc .. raised by the flow of the propeller and the wheels the landing gear and in take-off is a very felt lack for WWII airplanes, it is really to be hoped that it will be implemented since among other things there is already for helicopters, so it shouldn't be very difficult or require too many resources. It would also take engine fumes at ignition ...
Raptor6872
It would be neat to some some particle effects on the ground in that case, kinda like the jets do when you zip over the water going really fast! MrExplosion
I thought - in general - we wanted to have less dust and not more? Once we start using sandy landing strips in the desert, like when an african-mediterranean WW2 map comes out (omgthatwouldbesocooltohave) we could certainly prioritize this feature after everything important is implemented. ED Team NineLine Posted April 20, 2020 ED Team Share Posted April 20, 2020 We are looking at better responses to different types of terrain internally, but as people have stated, it needs to be a balance of eye candy and performance. If is a smoke a performance problem without solution on 2020 years we have a problem! Because on a combat simulator we want to explode things! :smoke:
