Kickstarter Physical Extras

Personally I don't care for any of the extras I put in $300 just to make sure the kickstarter succeeded :)

Dude, tbh the printed manuals would have been awesome. Its something that since (i dunno) Falcon days sort of dropped by the way side.

I know ED did some FC manuals (payable extras as printing aint cheap) and they were cool, like easy A5 size for quick reference.

But for me, all this other stuff is a useless waste of good money that could be used on the sim itself.

Even the manuals. I will happily deal with pdf's and have an epic sim rather than a tshit/manual/map and a crappy sim.

You guys know what to do, but thanks for asking.

T-shirts or a couple of posters, but to be honest I'm not to botherd and put the money towards sim dev.

I 2nd poll, ditch the extra's and concentrate on the software.

I pitched over $200 and would rather the money went to development.

I backed $250 but honestly I'm not very interested in the physical extras, especially if it puts additional strain on ED to get the product out. It's the software that matters!

I only backed enough to get the 4 flyables I dont already have... so I cant say anything,

But IMHO, drop the Physical Goods T-Shirt/Manual printing isnt cheap.

T-shirts, posters and strategy guides were definitely not any of the reasons I put money towards the KS, while they would have been nice I can make do without them.

Manuals were slightly a reason for level of backing, but to a greater extent were the aircraft module rewards like the 190 - but like Krupi, my primary reason was to make DCS WWII happen. While I was hoping for a printed manual copy, I can live with the PDFs. If I want it printed out bad enough there is always the option to go to Fedex Office (or whatever printshop I can find) and get a nice printed manual on my own dime.

Although, I am not sure that the majority should rule here, a poll would be a good idea.

I, also, am willing to forgo my non-digital extras. I picked some stuff just to fill the boxes.

I additionally think that the strategy guide should be dropped entirely, unless you have a really good author lined up for it. The manuals will still be written (whether printed or not) as part of the products but the strategy guide is a needless effort and expense, especially if it falls short of expectations.

Backed 250$, so I would get the strategy guide and 2 printed manuals.

I wouldn't really care if we only get pdf, but at least 1 printed manual would be great. (if possible - development of the software is way more important)

Seriously I don't think ED should burden itself with hardware rewards. Let's face it, all this stuff was promised when talk was cheap. Nothing ever came from it as we all know. To be realistic, you'd have to employ someone to produce all these physcial things. Why would you do that? Focus on making good software, convert everything to digital extras.

As a goodie, you could throw in other DCS stuff for choice. That should really satisfy everyone. Later when there is a need, you can produce physical extras and sell them.

I'd prefer to have the epic sim, and gladly forgo a t-shirt,map, and a book/s about a sim that failed.

I'm for ditching the lot, and putting money into the sim...

I'm in for over a $100.00 I would gladly switch the manuals for a late Alpha/Early Beta of the 6 flyables.

Having the 3 hardcopy manuals would be great, but I can live without it. I am happy if I get the digital equivalent for my 100 USD - if that is 1-2 aircrafts and some nice new theatre, I am fine.

I really think this sort of thing needs to be discussed when everybody who has backed this project gets access to the backers forum. Although I'm sure most would forgo their physical rewards It would only be decent and fair to include those folk in any discussion on the subject. or have it in a forum that isn't locked to them

I had no interest in physical stuff and my selections in the backer page reflected that. It might be better to compile a list of people who have selected physical rewards and seeing if they'd be willing to substitute - hopefully most if not all can be convinced; small runs of specialized stuff is probably going to cost a small fortune...
