Would this come under commercial use of this simulator, Im thinking it would.

I wonder if they have a commercial DCS licence....;)

If they had, they would use it just like the FAA approved one.

What I mean, this doesn't come under the "personal use" and would come under a different licence.

"Government and commercial entities wishing to use this software in conjunction with training or demonstrator applications must obtain a license directly from TFC under a separate pricing structure and terms of use."

Many trainees are using this same install.

The article even goes into detail

"Detachment 215 also has a digital combat simulator system designed to replicate flying a more advanced combat aircraft, such as an A-10 or F-16. While not FAA certified, this simulator allows "students" to become more comfortable with the basics of flying and simulate piloting higher performance aircraft in highly "realistic training" and combat scenarios."

They possibly do have a commercial license to do this.

Oh, I see what you're trying to say, indeed.

But I don't think they have a commercial license for that. Just guessing.

ROTC at the Davis-Monthan air base has their own A-10C sim, you can check it out

.

So I'm actually surprised about the fact that they used DCS in this case, I thought they would have access to this sim I posted above as well, at least the software, but no, they used DCS, the entertainment version (which is pretty cool). :)

huh so Air force ROTC uses DCS as a off the shelf training instead of just using ANG's DTS A10C or the commercial level TBS?

or are these just personal copies for Students?
