cm2
Mission 12's Yak is flying really slow like between 120 to 163 knots, it is not preventing to complete the mission or anything but it's just rather hard to fly in close formation with the yak while escorting it with that speed at that altitude though it's possible. Even after "1" instructed the yak to to fly at max speed he 's just at 170-180 knots I believe. Edited November 16, 2017 by cm2
feefifofum
Hi cm2, he's set to fly as fast as I can set him, unfortunately I can't regulate his rate of climb or airspeed while climbing. Deploying the flaps can help, or flying in a zig-zag pattern above and behind him until he completes his climb. Once he levels off he should pick up a little bit of speed. cm2
Yep that's what I did. I just hope ED will eventually fix this issue with Aircraft not flying at it's supposed speed set in the mission editor. I opened Mission 12 on the mission editor, un-hide the Yak flight object and saw that you already set it to around 200-308 knots, which is right, but alas in game it's not lol
cercata
Now it goes at 150 knots while climbing, and 200+ knots when at angels 20, so it seems ED fixed it Very nice mission, and I love when at the end of mission we get a sneak peak of what will be the next one, it adds some strees to the ending of the campaign !!! Minsky
Not sure what exactly happened, but mission 12 just glitched on me. After killing both bandits and successfully escorting the Yak, I was cleared to RTB, so I set my course to Nav 6 (approach). But at roughly 30nm from Kutaisi I got a message saying something along the lines of "you wasn't authorized to engage. MISSION FAILED". Then it thew me off to the debriefing screen - with the score of 90, so I actually passed this mission somehow. I don't have the track, only tacview file. This is where it happened: Dima | My DCS uploads

Wizard told me I wasn't authorized for weapons release and failed the mission. But not. Bunny Clark
Nope, Mission end was over 10 minutes after the last logged event (splashing the second MiG-21). Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign. draconus
I was wondering if some 27 or 29 crashed far away and triggered the ROE failure. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX3060 Rift S T16000M TWCS TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
feefifofum
Thanks for the report; the issue is almost certainly one of the groups in Russia crashing. Those are the only aircraft with an ROE violation associated with them in that .miz...I'll double check that they're all set to land somewhere that makes sense and to go home when they run out of gas. The scoring makes sense in context; at the time the ROE violation would have actually occured in the mission your score would still have been 50 so penalizing the score would send you backwards in the campaign. Minsky
Thanks for the report; the issue is almost certainly one of the groups in Russia crashing. This plane has disappeared in Beslan nine seconds before the failure. Apart from that, can't see anything suspicious. Tacview replay attached. feefifofum
That probably did it...despawning so something else could land at Beslan which is tiny. Seen it with big cargos before but never the Flankers. When removed from the game world this way the GROUP DEAD condition is considered to be met...just need to add a condition that checks if they're in the vicinity of Beslan and disables the ROE violation.
