chissà se il motore di dcs 2.5 andrà a braccetto con le nuove sciccherie nvidia (ray tracing è una cosa pazzesca O_O ).

Capisco le vulkan ma tutto il resto?

Ne dubito. Temo che il motore grafico andrebbe riscritto da capo per funzionare col ray tracing. Ciò non toglie che la tentazione di pensionare la mia 1070 nel 2019 sia forte... mai comprate due VGA di generazioni immediatamente successive, ma na cazzata la potrò fare a 40 anni?:D

Per un supporto completo a 360° probabilmente sì, ma visto che comunque il motore usa le DirectX nell'equazione possono entrare anche le nuove DXR... per cui magari di qualcosa potremo beneficiare anche noi.

Per un supporto completo a 360° probabilmente sì, ma visto che comunque il motore usa le DirectX nell'equazione possono entrare anche le nuove DXR... per cui magari di qualcosa potremo beneficiare anche noi.

 

Ho visto la presentazione Nvidia del Ray Tracing , anche Vulkan è supportata.

Forse però lo sarà in un secondo momento rispetto da DirectX (?).

Ricordate però che la tecnologia deve essere supportata dalla scheda ... prevedo 2/3 anni di assestamento prima della totale diffusione.

 

Credo comunque che il problema di DCS non sia la gestione dell'illuminazione ma l'ottimizzazione del rendering di oggetti numerosi... il Ray Tracing arriverà ... con calma ... forse...

Penso di sì, non fosse altro per questione di numeri: DX lo usano praticamente tutti i giochi, quelli che usano Vulkan ad oggi si contano non dico sulle dita di una mano ma su un pallottoliere sì. :lol:

Concordo, anche perché ci sarà sicuramente chi, pur avendo GPU di buon livello, si fionderà ad acquistare le nuove RTX al day one... ma molti di più saranno quelli che - come da sempre accade - cambieranno la GPU solo quando non riusciranno più a fruire in modo soddisfacente dei loro giochi preferiti oppure quando la tasca lo consentirà.

Fattore, quest'ultimo, da non sottovalutare visti i prezzi annunciati che, pur non essendo (almeno per me) una sorpresa perché allineati alle tendenze viste negli ultimi anni, in senso assoluto sono comunque una bella saracca, almeno per chi ha uno stipendio normale e/o ha altre spese da gestire oltre al PC. :D

 

Credo comunque che il problema di DCS non sia la gestione dell'illuminazione ma l'ottimizzazione del rendering di oggetti numerosi... il Ray Tracing arriverà ... con calma ... forse...

 

Su questo le nuove schede sulla carta dovrebbero già fare una bella differenza, poi come sempre in giro si legge tutto e il contrario di tutto per cui non resta che aspettare i primi benchmark e soprattutto almeno qualche giro di driver prima di pronunciarsi.

Volevo prendere la 2080ti, ma visti i prezzi prendero la 2080 normale quando usciranno le custom. :(

Idem l'anno prossimo però, ma sempre l'anno prossimo se trovo una 1080Ti la prendo a mani basse.

DCS World 2.5 Release Version Update 9

 

This week we moved the DCS World Open Beta to the DCS World Release version. Some of the more noteworthy changes include:

• Several more modules have been moved to the keyless protection system. These include the NTTR and Normandy maps, WWII Assets Pack, Spitfire, Su-33, AJS-37 Viggen, and the M-2000C. These modules are now tied to users accounts rather than keys

• Many new Hornet additions to include preliminary AIM-9X, AIM-120 active and time-to-go timers, AIM-120 VISUAL mode and AIM-7 LOFT mode, EW page symbols, EW HUD, EW Offset, increased of ICLS needles size, and eliminated deck sliding after landing

• Many new AJS-37 Viggen changes like corrected mirror reflections, adjusted normal maps, fixes to the SPA mode, custom cartridge settings, and othersMany new AJS-37 Viggen changes like corrected mirror reflections, adjusted normal maps, fixes to the SPA mode, custom cartridge settings, and others

DCS World War II Update

 

An important aspect DCS World War II is the addition of additional player-controlled and AI aircraft. Some of these include the P-47D, Mosquito, A-20, C-47, Fw 190 A-8, and Ju-88. All of these are various stages of development, and they will serve a vital role in fleshing out the DCS World II experience in concert with the new damage modelling, new World War II era maps, and dogfight AI. As each of these elements progress to the point we’re ready to introduce in DCS World, we’ll be talking about them much, much more.

Today we’d like to show off some of the P-47D skins we are working on, as well as the Mosquito.

Ma il mosquito rimane AI, vero? sarebbe bello vederlo pilotabile, come anche un a-20 e un ju-88, ma pretendo troppo
