Well, when they hype it up like it's going to be an F-22, Apache, big bomber/transport/refueling plane, Su-27 or MiG-29.... it wouldn't be so mind melting to get an Su-22 or F-105. Just 'sayin.

You're right though, I probably should have put them in there. Fixed it for you.

Eagerly awaited aircraft for DCS World

Of this list mind melting are only f22, f35 any russian/chinese modern jet and maybe the gripen and the rafale.

Unfortunately (i am not interested in rotary wings) I think it will be the ah-64.

I understand that rotary heads would go mad for it and i think they will do sooner or later.

I hope to be wrong, and maybe after the ef2000 announcement they will try do model ad adequate counterpart for it both allied and (potentially) enemy

UH-60 Blackhawk/Seahawk (possible)

V-22 Osprey (possible but modern systems likely classified)

My .02 cents on your list... Its all about what mind melting means to ED. Honestly I think Dev's should look at what current/upcoming planes need "opfor" which can be blue or red. Cuz people will buy those. And IMO that modern "Red" to go against the current modern blue crop. Or some Cold war blue to go against the older red planes we have.

It's already on the list of aircraft being made and it's confirmed that's not it.

Wha....So awesome. Yay. Super excited for it.

Oh for mind melting - it will probably be SR-71. It sure has the speed to melt your mind lol.

timeframe?

Getting the news of SC delay, and the huge mountain of issues and unfinished products that ED are pushing in front of them.

What would be the timeframe for “eagerly awaited Aircraft”, is there any timeline to end this guessing ?

After ED Lift the curtain, what are the timeframe to go EA with it?

For me personal I am on hold with any further spending on ED, if buy, than only on EA release day, even pay more money, just save myself from continuous disappointment.

Wouldn't have enough map to even start accelerating past Mach 2 :-D

I gotta agree, the current problems with ED/DCS are mounting by the day. I honestly don't expect to see much on this new "eagerly awaited" jet till next year. I mean it looks like the Mi-24 has been delayed, the Ka-50redux as well. From what I see, the pace of development overall has taken some serious hits lately, especially the two fixed wings. My main hope is that they can get the "Core" stuff sorted better this year and focus more on new modules next year.

Nick Grey said in a new interview with Grim Reapers that this module is being developed by the F/A-18 and F-16 team. I think this might rule out the Apache, since that one, being rotary wing, would likely be developed by the Hind team.

Makes me optimistic for Fulcrum or Flanker again. :music_whistling:

They said early on it would be fixed wing, I just can't be bothered to look through months of forum posts or vids to find it.
