Don't know if there is some way to turn off the tacan system it self... Harker Posted December 4, 2019 Share Posted December 4, 2019 If you want to turn off TACAN for EMCON reasons, you can use only the Receive function; that way, your aircraft is not transmitting. Also, the RF switch can be used to stop some of the aircraft's transmissions (QUIET) or stop all of them (SILENT). I don't know which of the two settings stops TACAN transmission though.
