Hellcat Posted October 12, 2017 Share Posted October 12, 2017 I'm building a new system so i can jump into VR this winter and was wondering about reactivation ....mainly what I have to do ..it's my understanding that it will be necessary with a complete new build ..I'm changing everything other than the ssd and hdd ...so Can someone tell me how it works or point me in the right direction ? Rudel_chw Posted October 12, 2017 Share Posted October 12, 2017 I've just updated my PC, to a Ryzen 5 .. previous to the change, I deactivated all my modules, terrains and campaigns, both on 1.5 and 2.1, after the change I activated all of them again and didnt encounter any trouble at all. Since I kept my same disks, it wasnt necessary to reinstall or re-download any part of dcs .. but I had done a" saved games" backup copy just in case :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Built new ryzen 7 system with 960 EVO M2 and I have to download everything from ED, I have been working on it for a week now. My internet speed is good but the torrent system sucks. Why didnt you just copied the DCS folder from the old hard drive and then did a DCS_Updater repair ? Tried that but something, I don't know what, didn't work right. My fault I'm sure. It would have been nice if it had but alas that is finally done as of last night.
