[FEEDBACK]Servers stop appearing on the 'master' list despite being up.

this is still happening in the latest Open Beta update Newy.

exact same symptoms too two instances one showing up one not, the one that isn't is reporting the time out and 503 error.

This has been happening for years. There sooo many threads about it.

Eagle Dynamics has not done anything about it, it's like ED has not even acknowledged that the problem exist at all!

I keep all the server logs and time stamp them

so the last time this went wrong was

2019-08-16 02:26:12.384 ERROR NET: Session check failed: 503

which continued until server was restarted at 07:00 (8am BST)

2019-08-16 06:59:44.190 ERROR NET: Session check failed: 503

I have 2 servers on one machine, this one (persian Gulf) dropped off the other did not

So we can conclude that

1. It is not related to network (if it was both would drop)

2. It is most likely something in the deciated server exe causing this

3. Once your server instance fails checking in, a lot of the time the only way to fix it is to restart it

I have logs starting from the 10 May 2019 showing EXACTLY each time this went wrong and failed - is ED interested in these ?

I have a Question maybe a dev could answer this,

if 2 server instances started at exactly the same time would they attempt to check in at exactly the same time ?

It has happened to me too recently. The server is fine. Something is screwy with the TCP communication on port 8088. I don't know if its my end or theirs. But now it seems the web gui is very slow to update at times.

Funny thing happens to me. I usually can see only a dozen servers unless I reset my router or endlesly spam the refresh button. Anyway, when a server doesn't show up but I know it's up, I can make it appear on the list. To test it, the server has to have a password (otherwise you'll join the server, instead of keeping in the list). For example hoggit server:

1. Click join by ip and write the ip

2. Do not write the password, or write a wrong one, and click join

3. The server not available or wrong password message will show up

4. Hoggit server will appear in the list, without the need to refresh. Just will pop up in the list.

this is happening on both servers hosted on the machine, problem on ED's side ?

Same symptoms. Didn't start until 0830z.

Just restarted it and it seems to be working, though. Server is back in list.

Some servers not showing in the list but are up. When I ping the server it is there but when I try to connect via ip the message come back server is not online. The ip address for the server is 74.91.118.197:10308 that is the Digital Theme Park server.

The same thing happens for the Aerobatics Online Beta server

happening again - using today patch - one server ok another on same box is doing this

This is also happening to the 104th server and is becoming a real pain to deal with!

For no apparent reason the server will just stop being shown in the MP lobby despite the server still running with other clients still in it!

Clients can even still join via IP when this happens.

This problem is 100% on the ED master server side and has nothing to do with our set up. Is there anything we can do to help stop this?

i've had this from a client perspective most of the year. I get 30-40 servers max. I reported it to Bignewy and that was as much as I heard about it. I think there is more than one problem with the server browser, one from the client side and one with a server not updating to the list.

I gave up using it and use the server list page to find IP's for direct connect a looong time ago.

Can you give me server logs, do they also show timeouts and 503?

how many logs would you like ?, I have 5 months worth and can filter out the ones when this happened

If you have logs showing where it has happened we would like to see them.

which of the two types would you like

1. The ones where ED master server screws up (only few times)

2. When one of the servers (of two) of the box cannot connect (this is the one that seems most common) but other server on same box can connect to ED

We were only using 2 anyway, need anymore logs ?
