I did the RS in Payerne in summer '14, then in autumn moved to Sion for the tecnical training on the tiger, for winter moved to Emmen to serve the Patrouille Suisse and PC-21 until summer '15.

Where were you stationed? Only Payerne?

i am older than you ;) RS in Payerne in 03 (and buochs), then from 05 to 15 always in Payerne.

at the time we still had those tigers that we sold to the USA.

It's definitely a great thing having real world F-5 crews on the forum. You'll have to fill us in on all the little operating quirks of this excellent little jet.

Started training as ground crew (crew chief) in 1980 was to be assigned to the 425TTS Williams AFB, but, as can be imagined, a mistake had been made, I was supposed to be assigned to the 82 OMS also at Williams AFB, so I got to watch them taxi by for 2 1/2 years until I was sent to Spain and worked on F4D and then F-16's,,,

GREAT tutorial, arguably one of the best I've ever watched on any module (and I've watched quite a few)... you have a very natural presentation style making for a very enjoyable and informative video. Question: you stated you need to turn off the boost pump on the low side when doing an auto-balance; isn't the idea of the auto-balance that this is all taken care of?

Thats my understanding to. Only If doing a Manual Balance using crossfeed switch I think you turn the Low side off.

You guys are right of course, I got it mixed up. Autobalance turns the according boost pump off by itself, turns it on again when it switches itself off. So only when you use crossfeed, then you need to turn the boost pump off manually.

Gotta put an annotation on the video.
