Situation from a Soviet Point of View: After winning the elections in 1972, the Socialist Party in Sweden started restructering the country, facing an ever growing thread by Nato, whose majority of members declared to not further regard Sweden as neutral. Part of this restructuring sent a couple of Viggen Squadrons to Russia for exchange of training and knowledge. Blaming the Soviet Union for Sweden's leftist leaning, a month ago Nato invaded our homeland and captured the Crimean Peninsula. With nothing more but an unstoppable imperialist greed, the blue dragon keeps grasping for what is ours. With Ukraine turning traitor and joining Nato, we couldn't withstand the push at the Taman and withdrew most of our forces to Krymsk and Novorossijsk. With no significant fleet in the black sea at the moment, Ghelendzijk fell to Nato, a devestating loss for our side, as they have established a bridgehead that allowed them to push as far north as Krymsk. With Krymsk being split in half, our forces at Novorossijsk will get cut off, and Nato will have secured a solid foothold in the southern part of our motherland. We cannot let that happen. We must hold Krymsk at any cost. Only then will we be able to withstand the coming attack on Novo. If we lose Novo they will be able to push on Krasnodar and we will lose our southern oil fields in the process. We cannot allow them to hold such a bargaining chip in their hands. The swedish people must be free to chose for themselves.

Mission Objective Red:Liberate Krymsk, prevent Novo from being cut off and overrun, prevent Nato bridgehead.

Primary Objective Red: Destroy as many as possible or all enemy forces at Krymsk (enemy is east of the river)

Priority Objective Red: Destroy the Roland Sam Site at Novoukrainskji.

Bonus Objective: Destroy the six bridges at Krymsk

Attack runs red: it is advised to scout units prior engaging. Egress is advised West, NorthWest, North. Attention: Ingress from the East must not penetrate Abinsk No Fly Zone for Red.

Situation from a Nato Point of View: After winning the elections in 1972, the Socialist Party in Sweden started restructering the country, facing an ever growing thread by Nato, whose majority of members declared to not further regard Sweden as neutral. Part of this restructuring sent a couple of Viggen Squadrons to Russia for exchange of training and knowledge. We believe this is owed to aggressive Soviet propaganda and a further expansion of the Warsaw Pact into Europe is highly worrying. We cannot be weak anymore, we must show strength, or the communist thread will never stop. Last month we captured the Crimean Peninsula, persuading Ukraine to join the good side of the fence. With our combined forces we pushed through the Taman strongholds and ultimately captured Anapa and its surroundings. The majority of the enemy withdrew to Novo and Krymsk, the Navy also capture Gele in an exemplary landing. Those Marines pushed north and took Abinsk and occupied half by Krymsk by now. With Krymsk in our hands, we will be able to cut off the forces at Novo and prepare for an attack. At the moment we are still a bit weakend from the fight at the Taman, but the Navy reassured us reinforcements to arrive soon. With the bridgehead complete, we will push further for Krasnodar and Maykop and then South on Tuapse and Sochi. This will cut off their oil fields in the south, a big enough bargaining chip to force them to keep Sweden out of the pact.

Mission Objective Blue: Caputure Krymsk and cut off the Russian Forces at Novo to prepare for an attack at Novo. We want a bridgehead to stage an attack on Krasnodar and Maykop.

Primary Objective Blue: Destroy as many as possible or all enemy forces at Krymsk (enemy is west of the river)

Priority Objective Blue: Destroy SA-3 Site at Krasnyy

Bonus Objective Blue: Hold the six bridges at Krymsk

Attack runs blue: it is advised to scout units prior engaging. Egress is advised East, SouthEast, South. Attention. Egress South must not penetrate Novo No Fly Zone for Blue.

Attention both sides: the fighting in the city of Krymsk has come to a stalmate. The western side of the river is occupied by Russian forces, the eastern side by Nato forces. The airport has turned sides in the several days many times and has been completely destroyed. Landing at Krymsk will count as loss of aircraft and death of pilot. Novo has been bombarded by the Navy, so landing there will result in the same. Novo has a high number of russian forces including an AD battalion, so it is a no fly zone for blue. Abinsk has been captured by Nato and a high number of Nato AD units and is thus a no fly zone for red.

Krymsk SAM thread: Luckily we have connections to a reliable spy from a 70's movie, who assured us that there are exactly 4 IR SAMs and 6 AAAs scattered across the city whose approximate locations have been marked on the map. Do not trust spies though, because apparently he told the same thing to both sides. We mostly believe AAA might be dislocated.
