Exclamation TACAN and VHF(AM) Communication

I flew a mission with some TACAN approaches.

As I reached Batumi, I wanted to speak with the ATC but nothing happened. My TACAN was operating in T/R Mode. As I shut off my TACAN, the VHF (AM) communication worked fine.

But with both systems (TACAN in T/R) at the same time, I can't send comm and did'nt hear the ATC Voice.

kind regards,

I haven't heard of this specific issue, but I think ATC comm is still a work in progress, and should be improved in the next beta versions.

I don't know.
But if I have TACAN off, the comm with ATC is fine.

Perhaps it is a number of sound threads issue? TACAN intercom defaults to on which plays the Morse identifier. Would silencing the TACAN radio prevent interference?

Apparently the AM radio and TACAN overlap frequencies. You might have accidentally had some sort of interference with that exact TACAN channel and the AM voice.

Quote:
In the X mode of operation, the TACAN set
transmits on one of 126 discrete channel frequencies
(which are 1-MHz apart) from 962 to 1024 MHz and
from 1151 to 1213 MHz. In the Y mode of operation,
the set transmits on one of 126 discrete channel
frequencies (which are 1-MHz apart) within the range
of 1025 to 1150 MHz. The navigation set receiver,
operating in the 1025- to 1150-MHz range for both
the X and Y modes, is always displaced 63 MHz from
the transmitter frequency.
