Waypoint probability

Is there any way to set a waypoints probability? So when an aircraft reaches one waypoint it may skip he next depending what it's probability is.

you could use the "switch waypoint" (or something like that) command and have a probability for the command to activate.

haven't tested, but should work.

What are you trying to do specifically? There could be a few ways of doing this. Besides the switch waypoint method already mentioned, you could make two copies of the aircraft and choose which one spawns randomly beforehand.

I'm editing the dcs campaign base mission and wanted a uh60 appear to randomly fly around the carrier group. As the base missing is used for every mission I didn't want to see the same heli at the same place on every mission.

I'm not sure what would be the easiest way in this case. Using switch waypoint will let you only have one unit, but you might need a lot of waypoints and switch commands.

Setting the helicopter to late activation and making copies is quick, but then you need a lot of activation triggers.

Either probably works. You could also try mixing in randomly triggered Orbit tasks to have the helicopter fly between two waypoints if you want it to stay in the air and not just land.

You can add it as Advanced Waypoint Action. It's under the Type "Perform Command". Then you can add a "Condition" probability for it to go off when the helicopter reaches this waypoint.

You can also add it as a Triggered Action. This lacks the "Condition" button and needs to be activated by a trigger in "Set Rules for Triggers"

Only just had a chance to test it. Thank you it works like a charm. Needs some fine tuning for my specific mission but it works well.
