dmatt76
I am In mission 4 I believe, on patrol with a downed Mi-8, and couldn’t find the spot and didn’t here the the crew.. I set the frequency to 243 which is guard, or do I have to set something else on the radio? I am flying towards the dam and bullseye, is this a right direction? baltic_dragon
Use the military guard on 121.5, I believe this is the one used.

baltic_dragon
Hm, maybe it is civilian - but I am pretty sure that is the correct freq. I will check if it is listed in the docs.
Yurgon
I always thought the Swiss are quite clever - they paint the international emergency freq on their Hornet's droptanks, so when they intercept any aircraft that doesn't respond to radio comms, the pilots could read the freq from that fighter jet that's flying right next to them. :) I think the entire UHF range is hardly used in civil aviation. dmatt76
I’ve just googled wiki https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_emergency_frequency
dmatt76
Ok, I have finished the mission and... it was enough just to change the 133 radio knob to AM - then the downed crew started to be heard over the radio.
