[REPORTED] External drop tanks don't refuel during A-A refueling

Any news about this? Will it fixed?

It looks like this bug is present still from 2.5 OB (so January :( ).

It concerns from ground start (C&D for example), so most of campaignes are affected.

Tanker fills internal tank fuels only.

Maybe someone will test it again (I have 2.5.0.15365 RC-current version only, where bug is present still)? TY.

if mission starts in the air it works (checked now), so bug is present from start from the ground.

It doesn't work on 2.5.1 OB with M2000C starting from ground. Bug not fixed.

Not only Mirage:

F-15Cs and A-10s can no longer top up the external tanks from the tanker, only the internal tanks will be filled until this bug is fixed.

I hope will be fixed with next update, it affects for Hornet also I think from C&D.

Yes I know not only the Mirage, but I only tested with the mirage so...

That bug exists in 2.5.0 then in 2.5.1, even after the partial fixed done by ED. It was never fixed in March except when starting in air.

External tanks in the Harrier don't fill up either.

Also, for whatever reason the message "Transfer complete" seems to be inconsistent: a squadron mate of mine failed to receive that message several times even though he didn't take a belly tank with him.

I didnt see it in changelog, hope it will be solved before F/A-18C will be released.

I would imagine the F18 release, will force this to be fixed quite soon.

I really hope that ED fixes this soon, it is the kind of bug that prevents realistic missions and for a sim like DCS, that is a huge bummer.

The Hornet's fuel situation will be difficult to manage if this does not get fixed.

Good news. Tested Today (the last OB). It looks like problem was solved.

Started with 3 external fuel tanks (from C&D) and all was full fill in the end.

Hmmm, Today I did mission in the one campaign (AA refuel) and.... only internal tanks was filled.

So Im not sure that this bug was removed.....

Is there any chance that we could get official word about the status of this issue from someone at ED? I mean, this is a pretty big issue and entirely prevents realistic mission types in certain aircraft. For example, it is impossible to do realistic on-station CAS stuff in the Harrier or even realistic CAP's in the Mirage.

This bug has been around for a good amount of time and while I appreciate that the Hornet has probably placed a lot of demands on ED's attention but this is a kind of bug has a big impact and hurts the experience across a variety of modules.

Is there any word on this? Is this fix in the works or is it further down the list at this point?

Is that bug so difficult to be fixed ? MK2000C and AV88 (perhaps other aircrafts) can't refuel external tanks in air, several missions can't be played.

We have no information about a fix. Is there any news about that issue ?

The same issue is present on the ground in M2000c. If you try to refuel at an airfield your drop-tank does not refuel. You have to clear the drop tank from your inventory under "rearm", wait for that to complete, and then add it back in under "rearm" again.

You sometimes have to do the process twice, before you see the extra fuel coming back.

we had a very large multiplayer event yesterday hosted by the 132nd with several external squadrons participating. We had a-a and a-g operations going on at the same time and they were interconnected.

Redforce aggressors tried to disrupt CAS operations while blueforce CAP flights tried to protect them.

This bug effectively prevents any pilots (or as in our case squadrons which focus on a particular airframe) to take part in such events since the inability to refuel any external tanks makes the aircraft completely unusable.

ED, please, this is a very very essential thing to fill up your external tanks for AAR.

This bug has been around now for a loong time.

Can this please be considered important and fixed?

This is a fairly big bug and its funny we didn't get any response from ED about this yet. Looks like we have to resort to spam this every day to get some attention...
