NeilWillis
On the carrier you may well be doing 30 knots (either carrier speed through the water, wind over the deck, or a combination of the two. It does however seem a little excessive to see vortices at that speed?
pete_auau
ah never thought of the speed of the carrier think the speed was set to 27 next time i put down to zero see if i get it than. Edit ok set the speed down to zero and didnt get the vortices Edited June 22, 2018 by pete_auau
probad
https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=213495 come on you guys why do you all think that you're so special that you're the first and only person to notice something this is obviously not correct behavior because the vortices come off regardless of wingtip orientation to the wind, so long as the game believes there is positive aoa. Alphamale
1. We are Looking into the source 2. This is not Limited to F/A-18C or Carrier 3. We use a bug Tracking System I have ten more tracks where that came from. Let me know if you need more. This happens EVERY landing on the carrier.... I can't for the life of me figure out why you don't see it on your end (support)...perhaps it has something to do with video settings, just spit ballin' here
pete_auau
probably maybe its the first time i have seen it, hence the post
FZG_Immel
I like the effect. I just hope they don’t try and fix it then break the in-flight vortices again.... Bottom line: I can live with it. Mode1961
[ALRAEDY REPORTED] Wing Tip Vortices while parked on the carrier So, this morning I noticed that just sitting on the carrier while it is doing 36 knots generates Wingtip Vortices. Pretty sure this doesn't happen in real life.
MurderOne
Not sure what speed, it was a downloaded user mission, but yes. +1 Sorry, no cool signature here.
Dispatch
Smoke from wing tips I have noticed smoke from aim9s on wing tips while wings folded on deck. AI aircraft is without smoke on. Is there a was to shut off? or is this a bug ~
danny875
I believe these at wing tip vortices, I guess they shouldn’t be visible at 30 knots? But they are
Badlego
these are the wing vortices. its a bug. they appear with higher wind speedw and turbulence
Spathiphyllum
Is this normal? Parked on the Stennis. Boat speed 25 knots. Is this effect realistic provided the aircraft is parked on the carrier?
fmedges
No. It’s being fixed. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Allied Air Command Website | Allied Air Command Discord
Eldur
Hi, I dont think that this should happen, does it? Totally OT, but could anyone be so kind and enlighten me on how to place a controllable Hornet (or any other "active" plane like a tanker or AWACS) like this? I couldn't find anything on that as of yet, just saw some being able to start there (first seen: - that guy won't tell yet, basically just sais it's hard). Edit: Mods may feel free to move this into an own thread, but I thought I might get the OP answering in his own thread Edited July 17, 2018 by Eldur
Nooch
I'd be glad to see this issue finally fixed. It lowers the immersion factor quite a bit... Edited August 25, 2018 by Nooch [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Talonx1
Apparently this also applies to the new over wing vapors so now its even worse.
