chardly38
Has the range been reduced. From the beginning of the A10 you could release several gbu-38s at one pass around 7000ft. Now its been reduced even at 10000ft. The minimum and maximum caret range has been reduced way to much. Xtacy
photo2 doesn't look like 6800 feet. are you sure you're not reading barometric but in the high areas of iran?
tom_19d
Xtacy has it — you are 6800 MSL in photo 2 but only 3900 feet AGL (3910R on the right side of the HUD) . Your height above the ground is all that is relavent here. chardly38
No this has changed in the latest updates. If I go back 3 updates it works. tom_19d
Dropping from the exact same parameters (altitude AGL, airspeed, atmospheric conditions, etc) rolling back changed the employment envelope? I am finding this very hard to believe without a track. tom_19d
Not seeing it. 2.5.5.32533, 6940 feet AGL, 300 KIAS, ISA, no wind; zero issues getting off 3 GBU 38s off against a tight cluster of T72s in a single pass, would have easily been able to do 4 but I only placed 3 tanks. Emmy
I’ve never seen a Min/Max spread that wide at only 7000’. 12-15K, yeah. But not 7K. Dagger71
Yup as everyone here points out. Speed and Elevation are the two main factors that will determine your min/max cue. When they get close like that you are getting outside optimal parameters and may even miss.
