New Carrier Comms

What a great video today by Wags. Truly a game changer. Just had couple of questions. Will you be able to hear other flights talking with Marshall for their altitude assignments? Are there different radio frequencies for Marshall, Approach, and Tower?

Thanks!

I gather the final version will have weather brief at Marshal check-in. I noticed at 6k Wags had some tail wind (winds aloft?) Seems like the wind at approach altitude was 2, 3 knots?

I hope the boat's skipper will "send" the wind up against FB.

I'm fired up for this "Carrier Module"!

Edit: Sorry for a hijack... was so anxious to comment, lol

To hijack the threat once more ;), the Carrier callsign in the video was Courage. According to a document I found, that was used by CV 66 USS America, which was a Kitty Hawk class carrier and has long been decommissioned (well, sunk, actually).

Is there also a Nimitz class carrier that used "Courage"?

Trying to figure out if Wags is throwing us some hints which carrier the new module will be, or if he's trying to throw us completely off track. ;)

To hijack this thread once more (OP from Bloodhoud has been answered anyways :P):

Will ai flights also be guided by these communications? E.g. holding at marchal stack, execute push times, etc

(that'd be awesome!)

^^I believe so. I think someone already asked Wags about this on his YT channel.

Hehe yeah I did, but no official answer yet. (Maybe answered in one of the other 160 reactions on YT ;))

That's the whole point of being VERY on time at the push lol.

Interesting to see how they handle things when I mess up the timings.

They'll probably do the same thing the AI always does when it gets confused. Which is crashing into solid objects or impacting the water. :P

Hence my question :D

I'm kinda afraid it's a bridge too far to expect smart AI aircraft carrier operations, given the current state AI is in.
