Yes, I am hopeful for the P-47. It should be very easy to fly compared to our other warbirds:

The P-47N actually rolled faster than the D and M, it was the extra weight of fuel in the wings that degraded its roll rate. I can't find my source on the P-47N's roll rate, but it was said to be fast

Not really on topic here but since it's being discussed already: Any news on whether the Mossie will be a "Full DCS" aircraft or will it be one of the FC4 level WWII Birds?

 

Back to the Thunderjug: Its looking great so far, especially the 56th FG skin! Really looking forward to this one, hopefully not too much longer.

Back to the Thunderjug: Its looking great so far, especially the 56th FG skin! Really looking forward to this one, hopefully not too much longer.

 

No plan yet to FC-4 level WW2 birds.

Flying Legends pack with 8 -12 aircraft …. ?

Century fighters are a big deal and a period I absolutely love, but not priority no.1 at the moment.

My guess is G-6 A8 etc will be part of the Flying Legends reduced fidelity. Would be a shame as I'd rather have those two as full DCS modules but who knows.

Does anyone know if that is the same for the FW190 A8 like the mossie where it will become a flyable aircraft

 

I am trying to get more info on that, but no news right now, I would love to see other variants of what we have as flyable for sure. Assume right now, unless you heard otherwise, it will be AI only.

Speaking of variants... I want a Razorback P-47, and P-47M, and when pacific maps and units are released, I want a P-47N! :)

Well, actually, we DON'T have a P-47, so asking for all these other variants already is kind of silly. And Pacific maps? We talking ten years from now? Normandy isn't done!

Hmmm, those Jugs look so juicy, I cannot wait to fly that bathtube around! I hope ED is progressing well with that lovely "little" fella and we get our hands on it in 2018 :D :pilotfly:

 

@NineLine if I did understand that correctly, the Jug will still be released with ASM in Early Access and not in the simplified systems version as Yo-Yo suggested will be the case for the Mossie. Is that correct?

I am not even sure of the release plan for Mossie (I dont think anything is finalized yet), so I dont know with the Jug, I am under the impression with will be a full blown module, but we will have to wait for more info.

Thanks for the fast answer and clarification.

 

Perhaps a classic case of mis- or overinterpretation of Yo-Yo's statements in the Mossie-thread:

 

PFM is compulsory for any aircraft from ED. Mosquito is very rich plane in regard of available data, so I do not see a reason not get it and then upgrade to ASM.

PFM, as I told earlier, includes absolutely the same parts at the same level as the full model without any compromise for an airframe, an engine, a prop and all that jazz about propwash. The same weapons.

 

Since the Jug is my favourite Prop Plane i may have gotten a little bit too nervous :D

I think Yo-Yo was more gauging the response than anything. Many things get discussed internally, we want to be able to get more variety and choice to you guys while maintaining the level of quality you expect from ED modules.

 

So I think his statement was would it really bother anyone to get something faster, and have it completed down the road.

Ah ok - i got it, thanks again NineLine! For my part i am only interested in ASM in the end, but I think it would be a good idea, if that modus operandi would get stuff out earlier and i would happily buy a module in the SSM-EA-state, if I know ASM will come later.

 

The insight and explanation is highly apreciated as always!
