The fact that this may or may not affect x number of individuals does not change that fact that this is a disgusting anti consumer move. It's not okay when EA does it, and it's not okay when ED does it either.

Err, changing things after activation is not exactly fair is it ?

I obviously have a dog in this fight, as I helped design and am responsible for maintaining a very small amount of official content here. While I certainly wouldn't claim to have a shadow of the time or money invested in this compared to the ED team, I know this is a serious issue and I don't want to come across in any way like I don't support the efforts to protect their own investment in this process.

We love and are passionate about this software, or we wouldn't all be here having this conversation. We want the team to be succesful so we can all continue to enjoy this amazing simulator. I am just agreeing that in the cases of our remote workers, persons in transit, this system as it stands is going to be an issue. I hope that a solution can be found that doesn't block their use of the software while they are unable to verify their account, be it an extended grace period for offline play, or some other means.

4 times per year, to be exact. However, I will point out that it won't directly affect me since I don't play DCS that often. I am not arguing this for my sake.
