Eagerly awaited aircraft for DCS World

The ancient runes say that when this semi-wishlist thread reaches 100 pages, the chosen one shall be revealed.

...and it shall be a marvellous and mighty plane. Almost feature complete at release. It shall be surrounded by a hype that might even dwarf the almighty CEII reveal hype thread. And we all shall know its name is going to be...

Stinson L-5.

The seals are almost broken. The chosen one must be revealed. Forward, my flock! Fill this thread with banal speculation that has absolutely no grounding in reality whatsoever!

How cool would it be to have the FICON program in DCS? How seriously awesome would that be? RF-84s being deployed from B-36s? I want in on that. In fact, I think the MiG-21 has too much endurance, I want the XF-85 Golbin.

Or the USS Akron and Macon for the piston fans? I'd love to fly Sparrowhawks off that thing.

These are difficult operations, so clearly, this is what we're getting.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

For me it would be F-111, any wwII bomber like the B-17 or lancaster (I realize this isn't happening), or either of the modern single prop light attack aircraft already announced. Corsair makes me happy, especially if it comes with wwII carrier and pacific map.

Would also be happy with something really unique like cargo missions or spooky variant of the c-130. Again, doubt this (like the wwII bombers) as it would be difficult to implement without AI or multi player.

SU-34 Easter Egg? :music_whistling:

Funny how we get in the habit of examining everything ED puts out like it was the Dead Sea Scrolls :megalol:

I say we, I'm just as guilty :music_whistling:

It's gonna be a naval Phantom for the SC module!

Yawn. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a phantom, but getting tired of seeing naval air

It's the Tornado! The same company that licenses out the EF2000 also licences the Tornado, and we have yet to hear about the Tornado license that some lucky developer has likely snagged!

And it fits ALL the clues as well...

I'd love for it to be the SU-34 (or some other redfor), but the Magic 8-ball says "Dahhh, follow the licensing!"

how do the migs 15/19/21 fit into this theory. same company holds the intellectual property to modern migs/sukhois

i dont think itll be clicky red air, but i dont think your logic holds water

Hey, at least a Phantom would sort of be Red Air, at least on the SoH map ;)

Actually thats the brilliance of that map. Most of the opfor is blue.

And really, IRAF was mostly F5/F4/F14A. So soon we get 2 outa 3. And eventally the phantom will come.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
