DCS halts on "Please Wait.." if in VR mode..?

Hi all,

Situation is this: game mission load halts on "Please Wait..." if in VR mode. Oculus Rift S is connected and latest drivers installed. DCS version 2.5.6, but occured in 2.5.5 as well.

Without VR connected, mission initializes as expected.

Have deleted saved games folder, uninstalled and reinstalled DCS. Reproducible 100% of the time.

PC specs is no problem (Alienware 51m, RTX2080, 32gb RAM).

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Seriously, doesn't it just stop. How do you exit etc. control alt delete?

Also know need to uninstall / reinstall DCS. I'm on the same DCS from 2 PC ago + with all Updates.

You can copy DCS to a drive and copy it back to new pc, copy it twice and change one version stable / beta or other old version etc.

You just run a clean and repair etc, on the install and done.

Also, Rename the save game folder. So you can copy back your control setup.

It stops / hangs. No progress, no activity in the activity manager. Force quit via the activity manager.

Loading without vr is blazingly quick. Yes, latest nvidia drivers, latest windows, latest oculus firmware/driver.
