Pikey Posted April 14, 2016 Share Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) I've noticed I can crash DCS on startup if my client was pre connected and DCS changed missions or restarted. Anyone else see this? Edit, since i work around it its not a big deal but I didn't have time to prepare lots of logs and such, it might even be just my setup with my dedi server. Scooternutz Posted April 14, 2016 Share Posted April 14, 2016 Resolved. I completely uninstalled DCS world 1.5.3, cleared the registry and reinstalled. It works now. It is pretty easy for me. The DCS i am plugging into with LOTAtc is my server. There are no mods and it is a basic install so it installed quickly. Thank you for your help. By following the file structure you showed me I was able to find out I had a corrupt DCS install. This should cut down on some of my CTDs as well. HiJack Posted May 9, 2016 Share Posted May 9, 2016 I hope it will be fixed so LotATC fixes itself (re-initializes) after mission load because we will not have admins changing our missions, it is an automatic process to load next mission. For now we have not used LotATC much but it works the first mission after restarting DCS, next mission it does not work. We have implemented UniversRadio and are looking to expand with LotATC but it does take some fiddling. We just had a test Saturday night using UniversRadio and LotATC but I have not heard any result from the test yet. No ETA yet, it will be a lot more than 2 weeks for sure :) Universalradio from the looks of it and the fact that it is, someway, integrated into LOTATC. 2. Yes UniversRadio (UR) is made by a squad teammate Tacno and we work together for our squad needs on LotAtc and UR so they are compatible. The UR part into LotAtc was a first implementation but the development of UR and LotAtc is not always synchronised so Tacno has written the ATC Desk provided with UR to have more radio available for controllers (and more feature). LotAtc is always used to provide the controller position into DCS World. More interaction will be available for 1.1.X release of LotAtc (IFF for example) but at this time, you should prefer use ATC Desk to manipulate radio in UR (do not forget to activate radio into LotAtc to set your DCS location). We @ TAW are running UR and LOTATC, but we can not get UR to work in LOTATC. Can you please give us a detailed explanation on how to get it to work. We have a massive event planned for this Sunday and we really like to use our human ATC, but then we need to have UR to work. UR works fine between our clients, no issue there, it's just the part of UR in LOTATC. Is there a way to see clients taxiing on the air bases with proper exit names etc., right now it seems we can only see the runway. Azrayen Posted May 13, 2016 Share Posted May 13, 2016 Hey Dutch Baron, Here: The first time: 0/ install everything needed: TS3, LotAtc client, UR (including its TS3 plugin) For each flight: 1/ launch TS3 and connect it to TS server; move out of the default channel (no UR there) 2/ launch LotAtc and connect it to DCS host 3/ launch UR ATC box 4/ in LotAtc, enable radio/UR + select a "location" (if you're an ATC: your airbase; if you play an AWACS controller: the AWACS itself) that UR will use to manage radio ranges and so on. 5/ it's now working, configure your radios (frequencies, which ones you wish to listen/talk) in UR ATC box... and enjoy! He was at Tblisi-Lochini, I selected location Tblisi-Lochini, but he said he could now and then hear me, sometimes bad quality, sometimes good. I do not see anyting in the location list, unless I click on an empty spot in there and then a few airports showed up. I also did not see any signals on the SCOPE. Is there another thing I should do? Hope the reload issue is solved soon, because this is quite of a problem for our servers that run several missions throughout the day. Having to restart the DCS every time is not very practical. Sryan Posted May 19, 2016 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Hey everyone, I am having a bit of trouble with my key. Whenever I don't have the key installed. The software works just fine in demo mode. But when I add the key to C:\Users\Sryan\LotAtc 4 DCS Data\Client it won't start up anymore. I believe to have followed all instructions on this page: https://www.lotatc.com/projects/lotatc/wiki/Client_Installation_guide I also tried making that folder described there. {UserHome} \LotAtc 4 DCS\Data\Client\ However putting the key there just results the software in booting up in demo mode.
