Vegasfilter
Hey everyone, I recently purchased a gaming rig at BestBuy and have since gone through a made some improvements aside from the Ryzen 7 2700x cpu. I upgraded the GPU from RX580 to RTX 2070, PSU from a 450 to evga 600, liquid cooling, better case then Dell one. Anyhow, my MOBO is a dell brand X370...is it worth me upgrading that right now? I'm not having any performance issues at all and DCS finally plays at max settings and is awesome. The PC does have 16gb of ram...should I look into upgrading that next as well? Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance. Pics for reference:
SVgamer72
You already have all the features/performance of the X370 chipset. So you really don't need to change the motherboard unless the one you have now lacks features you want. The nice thing about Ryzen is the CPU and Chipset cover all the features, and the motherboard provides the outputs (ports, slots, etc). Ryzen runs best on Samsung B-Die RAM @3200. If your current RAM is 2133, then investing in 16Gb (2x8Gb) or 32Gb (2x16Gb) of 14-14-14-34 B-Die should result in a noticeable performance increase.
