I was able to load too, but didn't try them.

I'm disappointed at the slow pace of the latest updates and some weeks with no updates.

What?! The Hornet and DCS has been updatet bi-weekly for two months now and you are disappointed?! A few years ago DCS got updates barely once a month and many times with very little content in the patches.

I've never seen DCS updated this constantly.

Really? Developers arent allowed summer vacation, or what is the deal here?

No, it was not updated last week for Open Beta and that's what I'm flying.

Unless the change log isn't accurate if you're satisfied with it good for you. I'm disappointed in this update; not the F18 its awesome.

Not mentioned in changelog, it works. A very nice surprise. Can be mounted on fuselage and 2 other pylons. If the B can be fired successfully, what is the C missing in order to enter the service?

Just tested and the 120b can be fired and seems to work fine.

One thing is that you can fire it, another does it hit anything:smilewink:

So, did you hit the target?

It looks like dev guys left us a surprise of AIM120B before going on holiday. Wags only mentioned the aim120b is the works. Nice. Would check how it performs.

The trend I have noticed on update is a forthnightly update to the Hornet and the dcs world. The week in between is for updating the released version of dcs.

I think ED has been pretty regular in update time since open beta release of the hornet.

We get updates every week, alternating between Open Beta and Stable Release:

Generally, the plan for updating DCS World is alternating weeks of updating Open Beta and then merging Open Beta to Stable. So updates will be every other week. This, of course, doesn't account for hotfixes and other unforeseen issues. But in general, this is the plan for updating DCS World.

This week, July 25th, will be a merge to Stable, and the next update to Open Beta should be August 1st.

Thanks!

EDSA Team.

Why wouldn't the AIM-120B not be in the changelog?

It's a surprise, it's like having a little Easter egg.

Someone brings you some ice cream but you found out they added sprinkles to it for free, you'd be pretty chuffed.

Maybe it's a suprise for the devs as well (included by mistake)?

No it wouldn't be a surprise for the Devs. They have to put forward a build that will then be included in the update. They would've had to deliberately include the 120B into the DLL. Files

Apparently some initial tests shows that current 120B implementation does not signal Pitbull, and is not different from AIM-7 in terms of performance (range, hit chance ect).

Amraam is very good, but only 20 miles of range? The B version has 30-40 miles to maximum range...

It wouldn't be the first time that the wrong files get included into a public build ;)
