Odd throttle issue - Logitech X-56 HOTAS

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

I'm new to DCS and have a odd issue with the throttle.

It doesn't matter which aircraft profile I use, when using the axis tune page, the window shows the throttle moving nice and smoothly to 50% and then jumps to 100%.

When flying the aircraft, the throttle movement is the same, smooth to the half point then shoots to 100%.

The throttle works without issue in X-Plane and other sims.

The Windows (10) calibration shows smooth movement from 0 to 100%.

I have tried setting the slider option in the axis tune with no difference in the results.

Hope you can help.

Thank you.

You could try recalibrating the throttle itself. Though that would affect all games I assume.

The instructions are on the Logitech support FAQ page

https://support.logi.com/hc/en-au/articles/360025175874--FAQ-X56-Space-Flight-H-O-T-A-S-

under recalibrate Axis firmware.

There are some other calibration layers you can proceed through in the FAQ

Make double sure no other axis or slider is mapped to the throttle axis. Funny things would happen if it is so. Best to clear them all out and set one after the other in DCS.

Thank you for the replies Ashcroft and Bitmaster.

I cleared all of the axis in DCS during my last attempt to get it to work.

I even cleared all of the key bindings :p

I have re-calibrated also with the Windows system.

The flight stick and throttle work perfectly in other sims such as X-Plane.

I will checkout the link from Ashcroft and will update what happens.
