Default Correct deactivation procedure prior to HW changes

Gentlemen
I do apologize for yet another deactivation and reactivation query raised here...
There are many and I have studied them, but I am still not able to say with confidence how to actually deactivate modules properly via the 'module_name'_protect.exe application which can be found under ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\bin

My objective is to move DCS to a new SSD and prior to that I would like to DEACTIVATE my modules.
In the forums I was guided in the direction of the xxx_protect.exe application but I am not comfortable using it du to what I have tried to illustrate in the attachment.

Can anyone provide some more guidelines?

Sincere regards,
