Anyone know what that store is on station 5?

Since JSOW is not for Store 5 and ECM looks different, my guess is that this is the F-16C or V Block 60 or 70 with Reconnaissance Pod. The AARS or DB-110 Reconnaissance Pod to be exact.

I have no idea if the F-16C Block 50 is utilizing the same Pods.

I had to find out.... I don't like mysteries. :-)

Apparently it's a Block 30 from the 177FS carrying a TARS pod on sta5. Photo was taken during deployment to Balad AB in May 2010.

At least we are smarter now. No more Mysteries :D

EDIT: Would love to have same Documentation papers by Lockheed Martin for the F-16C Block 50 like the ones for the new F-16V model for greece.

This would provide a nice overview of the capabilities and features for someone who is not familiar with each model.

regards, mkev

There's still one worthy of Scooby-Doo.... 86-0052. A Block 30 F-16D that hasn't been assigned to a base/unit for over a decade but still makes occasional appearances in the NTTR. Who knows, perhaps a 31year-old aircraft is responsible for some of the UFO sightings around Groom Lake?

(Yup, it's a Rogoway piece but the photos and airframe info are 100% verifiable as accurate.)
