kievbsm Posted January 19, 2020 Share Posted January 19, 2020 (edited) Hello! I've created a small mission with M2000 and C130 Tanker for A2A refuel training at the night time. Set for the tanker TACAN as Y67. Tried to navigate to the tanker but the M2000 didn't see it. F-16, F-14, A-10 can see and X and Y channels at the same time but the M2000 can see TACAN with X channels only. :( Please, could somebody help me to understand what I did wrong in this mission? P.S. Tried to edit some quick mission and changed there TACAN channels from X to Y range. In than case my M2000 saw it. But in all these missions I have start in the air. Did not try wit X channel yet. Another thing: I connected to the tanker (KC-135MPRS) easily, after a long time in the cat it felt like I can do it blindfolded, BUT I didn't get a "connect" or did take a pound of fuel!!! Pre contact comms with tanker was normal...:huh: NZXT H400i case i9 9900k @ 4,9GHz (cooled by NZXT Kraken X62 4x140Fan - Push/Pull) Asus RoG Maximus XI Gene with 32GB G.Skill CL14 Samsung M.2 970Pro 1000GB ZOTAC RTX 2080ti Triple Fan 11GB 34" RoG Swift Curved TFT runs smooth like Beck's Gold :D HTC VIVE pro eYe (still freaking out!) Frederf Posted January 25, 2020 Share Posted January 25, 2020 DCS has a weird thing where tankers on Y band TACAN give expected behavior on the same channel X band tuned in the airplane. And I swear sometimes you get range without azimuth which is completely bonkers. Don't worry about it they'll fix it DCS eventually. In reality and to some success modeled in DCS some TACAN connections are distance only so look out for that. If you get a distance only TACAN it could be correct.
