CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

I think the only thing you're missing are the engines Deadman.:joystick:

*DROOOOOOOOOL*

Nice.

I was thinking of just having it built in to the pcd that will have the switches on it. The bezels in my design are about .5 inch thick so there should be plenty of room. I am just not a pcb designer lol

The lit switches I would like to use are 8.2 mm high. So if I can have 10 mm or a little more between the bottom of the buttons and the bottom of the bezel life is sweet. If I can have 15 mm we can put the switches on one side of the PCB and the other components on the other.

I'm thinking of two approaches:

1. 28 pin PIC -- this gives us 23 inputs which is just right if we don't connect the 3 unimplemented rockers, and wire the rotary as a 2-bit pot.

2. smaller PIC and put a shift register on each side. I like this because less traces need to converge on the side with the PIC.

Either way, I'm going to make the BRT and CON rockers detachable from the interface so they can be connected directly to the display hardware, if desired.

Interface is going to be lua, not buttons or keys.

ooooch, that kinda collection should be forbidden to be shown here ?!

(kidding)

2 COMM quads and a TISL on top, not to mention all the others.. congrats. Must have taken a sweet amount hours just to locate these. A bit envy to say the least...hehe. Living on the wrong side of the 'pond' doesn't help either

Cheers

This is unacceptable the PIC must be capable of running all switches.

Until all key stokes or i get more familiar with the Lua i will no make a decision on this

I'm interested in anything you might care to post. Straight-on (i.e. limited perspective distortion) high res pictures of each would be very helpful and much appreciated. The overall backing plate dimensions also. Heighth in particular, as I believe the width of each is 5.75".

The pictures you have already posted have been helpful. Thanks!

The post is to judge if the is enough interest in accurate panels and parts for an A-10C cockpit. Not for the release of informational this time.Do the investment in time and cash to get it l together.
