Delta59R
I have Z370 chipset with LGA 1151 socket and I5 8600 CPU; however, Task Manager shows I am using only 1 core when in game 3D. How can I make DCS use all cores? With your mouse right click on the CPU % utilization's graph, then choose "modify graph" (1st option) and then choose "logical processors" instead of global utilization. You will see usage on all your 6 cores.

hornblower793
Given you have an 8600K it might be worth overclocking it - I have the same CPU and it is running happily at 4.2GHz without any water cooling etc. Windows 11 Home ¦ Z790 AORUS Elite AX motherboard ¦ i7-13700K ¦ 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 memory @ 5600MHz ¦ Samsung 990 Pro 1TB SSD for OS, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSD for DCS ¦ MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio 24GB ¦ Virpil WarBRD base with VFX grip, Thrustmaster A10c and F/A-18 grips ¦ VKB Gunfighter Mk4 and MCG Pro ¦ Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle ¦ VKB STECS Throttle ¦ Virpil TCS rotor base with Shark and AH-64D grips ¦ MFG Crosswinds ¦ Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box ¦ Pimax Crystal

Headwarp
you mean 5.2 ??? I think he'd want the water cooling if he were pushing that lol. Actually, he might not have a typo, the 8600k specs is 3.6/4.3 so a 4.2 AllCore oc on air is likely RL scenario. I think...with some fiddling and a proper cooler, this thing will do 5G with no sweat, if the silicon is not of lesser luck Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
