Some of countries and US Air Force recently stared upgrading their F16s with missle approach warning systems. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/32521/air-force-f-16s-are-getting-pylons-with-built-in-missile-warning-sensors-and-countermeasures Strike aircrafts like A10s, some of choppers and some of non usa designs had system installed in early versions since '70 and for some reasons they skipped a lot of platforms with it, like Eagles, Hornets and mentioned Vipers. Could somebody please clarify the topic: why , for some many years and upgrades some of the multirole platforms did not get the system?
