little background where we started and where we are now. All of the external model is complete, the cockpit is nearly complete. The flight model is also nearly complete. We are tweaking it based on testing reports. the model has been unwrapped ready for texturing. I may entertain bringing on a texture artist. Who can really do this bird some justice. But do it quickly. If you're interested send me some portfolio shots I might consider bringing you on. 025.jpg

Work continues on this mod. We had to take some time off to take care some real-world situations. But were back. We had some real-life extra pilots flight testing and giving us very good feedback on our performance vs. the real world aircraft. And we continue to make adjustments to the flight to model. The 3D work continues with the externals models and animations being complete and moving to texture. While we continue to work on the cockpit. In the meantime, enjoy some of the screenshots rendered from Max. There certainly prettier than the ones you get from DCS. The paint scheme is a custom paint, we plan to release a paint kit with the aircraft . For those of you who want to go nuts

The real aircraft is significantly higher performance then either of the other aircraft you mention. And is currently the benchmark aircraft for competition aerobatics worldwide.

Very nice work, will you be performing at VFAT ?

Yes, a version of the aircraft is scheduled to fly in VFAT, on Saturday. The person flying it is a member of the virtual black jet team, but he will be performing as an independent solo, the aircraft he's using is a much older version that uses a placeholder 3D model.

We decided the model is not ready yet for VFAT and will not be performing

That means it's faster, maybe can fly higher, can turn in a tighter radius and can pull more g's. Nice for aerobatics and that's it. OK - I know, some guys like aerobatics. Nothing against this aircraft. :)
