Default DCS Crashes much more regularly

Hello all,

I am not sure if it is this mission that I am writing or if it's DCS as a whole - But I've had frequent crashes in DCS after latest Open Beta patch. I have attached the crash log for the crashes I experienced today to this message, as well I can happily forward a track or a miz file if more information is needed.

It appears to have something to do with head movement with oculus although it may just be coincidental.

Thanks, I do appreciate everyone at ED's hard work - this sim is getting better and better.

*Added info* This is in the PG map, at dawn with dynamic weather.

Yes since the previous update I've been getting BSOD's with something like "guard timer failed" next time it happens I'll check out the actual error message. However this has happened like 3 times now, howeved that's like the only crashes I've had in the past 12momths or so. And yes each time just flying and look slightly to the side and BSOD in NTTR and Causacus maps. As best I can see not memory leak issue and in the log it looked like DCS had reinitialised USB devices just as it crashed, I'll chase the log file up when I get home.

<edit>

Likely dx11 driver/software unhandled exception.

Did you get BSOD or did DCS just freeze and killed it with taskmanager?

My DCS log only logged the first 2 minutes of startup hence might not be unrelated, however the BSOD's are only recent and after an hour or more.

Moderator... my understanding may be incorrect, but I'm confused as to why this was moved from the F/A-18C bug section to here. The module being flown at the time of the crash was the F/A-18C....

NO BSOD... Just the "DCS has crashed" dialog

I am seeing a few more crashes than before the latest update, although I cannot say its a regular occurrence. It feels less stable in general though with superb performance one time and a little less so the next.

It seems to be something to do with the loading screen. In VR when mission is loading, I am getting considerable screen tearing and the loading bar hangs for a couple of minutes with hourglass, until it suddenly decides to resume.

Also see the white text replicated at the very bottom of the screen, just the very top edge of it.

It's as if it is trying to resolve some type of conflict somewhere.

Deleting fxo and metashaders cured the hang up the first time, just the normal, longer recompiling time without screen tearing, but it came back again the second time. Repair had no effect.

PG Map, Hornet.

These crashes that I've been having seem to be related to Cruise missile attacks from the CG in my carrier group in the mission I am building... Are the Cruise Missiles broken?
