Nevada d'load by Torrent and HTTP Failing

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

my problem isn't with payment or activation but the actual download of a purchased module so I hope this is the correct forum for this.

I just bought the Nevada test range map today and can't get the download to complete without failing. I've tried both the torrent and http options several times and neither will work. I've also done a complete restart in case an open process somewhere was the issue but it hasn't helped. The http option consistently freezes after getting about 1/3 complete. The torrent consistently gives me the following error after running about 1 minute:

00096.579 ERROR: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_downloads\.torrents\NEVADA_terrain.common\4c\4c0aa1f2b657c231a9be4d774c386a7c1cf1fb8342d1cae91fe8e93248baab0c: (32) NEVADA_terrain.common open (C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_downloads\.torrents\NEVADA_terrain.common\4c\4c0aa1f2b657c231a9be4d774c386a7c1cf1fb8342d1cae91fe8e93248baab0c) error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

I upgraded to DCS 2.5.x (release version not open beta) and bought the Hornet about a week ago and both downloaded via torrent with no problems.

Anyone have any idea why I'm seeing these download failures and how to fix the problem?

Thanks!

Dennis

Fixed!

Wanted to followup my original post with the fix in case anyone else has this problem...

It occurred the error was saying more than 1 process was trying to access a torrent download file at the same time. I looked at my running processes and thought the only thing that makes logical sense would be a virus scan program trying to verify a new file was clean, while the new file was still being downloaded by torrent.

The problem program? ZoneAlarm. Once I removed it (disabling it wasn't enough as it seems there are still a couple of it's scanning processes that continue to run) the torrent has gone back to running without error :smilewink:
