You're better off just getting a Warthog tbh.

UH Yeah...the Realsimulators BASE is over 500.00...No stick...just the base. I'm not even gonna guess what the stick and base will cost and you still dont have a throttle.

Ya need to do some shopping around.

Current Amazon price fro a Warthog HOTAS:

Nice to see it's a bit more affordable than I originally thought - though I think I'd rather have a Cougar (since I never got the chance to get one when I was younger). Too bad they're next to impossible to find and apparently need work to keep going after all these years.

A very popular F-16 sim has a forum with a buy-sell-trade section, and there's a couple Cougar sets in there already upgraded.
(I know because I just sold my Cougar Throttle there)

The only real "work" needed is to upgrade the electronics which is inexpensive and painless...Like 5-10 minutes work.

Watch eBay for Cougars...

The microstick has an issue with drift. I use the warthog stick so I bought the T.U.S.B.A R2 USB adapter to be able to use the Cougar throttle. It has a better calibration routine and allows for adjustment of the dead zone too.

If your looking for other joysticks as well, there's -

https://vkbcontrollers.com/

https://virpil.com/en/

A little more expensive than the Warthog, but very nice joysticks.

Also good if your looking for something "exotic" (Virpil) or more "Mig" style.

Does the FCC3 mod for the Cougar enable twist-rudder control?

"FCC3
FORCE CONTROLLED COUGAR 3
The FCC-3 is the follow up of the FCC2, a force controlled modification for the Thrustmaster Hotas Cougar.
Force Controlled means that the amount of movement of the plain in the sim is no longer dependant of the displacement of the stick,
but becomes dependant of the amount of force that is applied to the stick.

The amount of force, necessary to give full yaw or rudder is adjustable with the axis settings in Foxy and CCP."

Nope. Just X and Y Axis... depending on Software you can map the ruder on X.. I know it works in BMS, in DCS I can`t tell you. Did not more than 5 hours in DCS since I got it with the A-10.....
