imacken Posted June 21, 2019 Share Posted June 21, 2019 When are we going to move to complete keyless DCS? i changed my CPU, and various modules - BS, Warthog, FC3, etc. - complained about change of hardware and then proceeded to use up another of my few remaining activations. I didn't have the chance of de-activating. How are we supposed to know what will cause a de-activation? A cpu change will trigger an activation, and you should have deactivated before doing the hardware change, then reactivated after the cpu change. I am down to 2 activations on modules like the Warthog, and most of them have been used up by Windows reinstalls after crashes, etc. Under those circumstances, there is no opportunity to deactivate. It’s an archaic system that should be removed ASAP. Even the Huey is migrated to the new copy protection scheme and that one should be the oldest of the remaining lot. ED have done a great job in moving away from Starforce, but there is still a way to go. imacken Posted June 21, 2019 Author Share Posted June 21, 2019 OK, so now I have another issue. I am just getting constant errors from the A-10C and Black Shark DRM and I can't use them. See attached. Every time I select 'Retry', it appears to work and yet I can't fly the planes, and when I reload DCS, the same box keeps popping up. Any advice on this? I tried running the Stable Release, and I now have the error I posted above for all of these modules: A-10C FC£ Black Shark F-5E P-51D Huey. And there is nothing I can do about it! Thank you. Yes, that was he same response as ED support gave. It all worked fine, but as you said, I've lost yet another activation. Oh well, maybe all that will disappear very soon!
